This weekend we are blessed to celebrate the ordination of two new priests in our diocese: Fr. Tim Cummings and Fr. Philip Clement. Fr. Philip will celebrate his first mass here on Sunday during the 11:00am mass. This will be a great blessing for our parish. We are delighted to celebrate with his family and the Marian

Servants of the Holy Spirit. Philip Dac Clement

Philip Dac Jason Clement was born in the New Orleans suburb of Marrero, Louisiana on December 7, 1970 to Danny and Yvonne Clement. His parents continue to reside in the New Orleans area where they are members of Visitation of Our Lady Parish. He has one older brother who lives in Minnesota with his wife and two children. After graduating from Archbishop Shaw High School, he attended Louisiana State University and obtained a degree in Kinesiology and then continued his education at LSU Medical Center where he obtained a degree in physical therapy. He worked as a therapist for two years in a New Orleans area hospital before he began pursuing God’s call in his life. It was during this time that he came into contact with the Marian Servants of the Holy Spirit, a pious association of the faithful, which helped him to discern his vocation and ultimately accepted him as a member of their community. He was attracted to the priesthood by God’s constant call in his life as well as his desire to preach God’s word and minister to His people. During his time of formation he has been assigned to Light of Christ, Clear-water and Nativity, Brandon. He was ordained to the transi-tional diaconate in April 2007 and received a Masters of Divinity from St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary on May 8, 2008. In April 2008, he was given the religious name Philip by the Marian Servants of the Holy Spirit. Father Clement will begin his first priestly assignment at Nativity, Brandon as Parochial Vicar next month. Peace and Blessings, Fr. Ken Malley Congratulations to all those who made their First Holy Communion this past Sunday.

CARE & OUTREACH Prayer is the lifting up of our minds and hearts to God. If there is someone you know who is ill, depressed or just feeling down, please call Joyce at 584-4735.

We congratulate Fr. Phillip who is cele-brating his first Mass today at our parish. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Father!

Tonight in Youth Group we will be taking a closer look at our vocations. Is yours a call to the priesthood or religious life? Perhaps it is a call to be married or single. You may not know what the Lord has planned for you. Tonight we will hear from several guest speakers who will tell us about how they have discerned their own vocations. All high school teens are invited to join us for our meeting (including dinner!)

God Bless! Nanci-Beth

As a Parish community we pray for our recently deceased parishioners: Janet Giovanelli. May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.. Amen.

“God has created us for great things: to love and offer love, to experience tenderness to-wards others, as He did, and to know how to offer Jesus to others. People are not hungry for us; they are hungry for God.”

“The simplest way of becoming (Jesus’) light is by being kind and loving, thoughtful, and sincere with each other: By this they will know that you are My disciples.” The Blessings of Love - Mother Teresa

SUGGESTED 3 YEAR PLEDGE AMOUNTS—Any Pledge i s Great ly Appreciated!

Feast of The Most Holy Trinity

If you have not made a pledge to our Capital Campaign, I urge you to make a pledge this week!

We will soon run a list in the bulletin of all the households that have made a pledge to this Campaign. The amounts will not be listed only the households who have made any pledge. We want to make sure we have the accurate count of the number of families that are participating. To date we have approximately 645 pledges from our 2400 households registered in the parish. With the support of 30% of our registered families we have reached a pledge amount of $2,432,727. Imagine what we could do if every household participated in this pledge!

Pledges can be made via Cash, Check, Credit Card, Gifts of Stock, Annuities, Trusts, Wills and Bequests.

Pledges can be made monthly, Quarterly, semi-annually or annually.

I believe in this project so much that I pledged $15,000 personally over a 3 year period. I believe it is a sacrificial gift that will reap eternal benefits. I invite you to join me in the graces that will be received from participating in this project.

Please Keep this Parish Campaign in your prayers, Father Malley Pledge cards are available at the Church exits or you can call our on-site Campaign Office at 727-531-7721 ext. 105.
