According to our objective of training the students for placements, Mr. Das suggested that we can have value added courses which will be on the payment basis. Following courses were identified: RDBMS, SE/OOAD, Big Data Foundation and Cloud Programming. Knowledge in the above subjects is required for placements in top companies. This requires an initial investment of 16L which would include FDP, Course material and Certification. The faculty members will in turn train the students. For the payment to be made by the students, IBM will provide course material and course completion certificate. He elaborated the models followed in other Colleges/ Universities like SSN, Vel Tech University, Vivekananda College, Chandigarh University and Visalakshi College. He discussed about the levels of collaboration and the cost involved for student development programmes.
