The White Switch Compliance Tester SDN-WSCT is a complete solution prepared to support seamless implementation of the SDN enabled network components into the video aware IP networks. The core functionality of the SDN-WSCT is responsible for compliance testing of commercial of the shelf switches available at the market. SDN-WSCT enables comprehensive testing of the switches towards Open Flow 1.3.4 specification and can provide clear comparisons of the products considered for implementation in the network. SDN-WSCT provides all key tests specified by ONF Conformance Test Specification for Open Flow Switch Specification v1.3.4. in all 29 categories.

The SDN-WSCT is designed with future SDN networking functionality and evolving video distribution trends taken into account. It provides additional to 1.3.4 Test Specification functionality for the most promising and useful SDN networking technologies including testing multiple forwarding tables pipeline, testing switches in hybrid mode and certification of VxLAN virtual networking.

The SDN-WSCT can test proper implementation of egress tables in the tested device, this new flow handling scheme promises advanced functionality but early egress table implementations can be a serious source of the flows processing errors. The SDN-WSCT offers tests designed towards testing egress tables functionality as well as ingress - egress flow handling. Next capability of SDN-WSCT is testing extended flows statistics reports including right implementation of statistics triggers. This important extension of Open Flow protocol enable intelligent network monitoring and was identified as the key functionality of future SDN network management systems. Finally, scheduled bundling and copy field actions were implemented in the current SDN-WSCT release.
