DEAR READERS AND ADVERTISERS

2 Website: www.thevillage-advertiser.co.uk

Welcome to the February edition of The Village Advertiser. Writing this mid January there are weather warnings of snow on the way but we're looking forward to a month of traditional Valentine's romance and giving that extra bit of attention to someone special in our lives. Hopefully the January task of balancing our Christmas spending has eased a little, the home budget doesn't look quite so bad, and we can think about a Valentine's treat. Not that romance should be for one month only, as we know. Relationships need time, commitment and often patience to keep them in good health, whether with a partner, friends or in the family. This month's competition prize courtesy of THE GREEN MAN, Main Road, Longfield Hill is a fantastic meal for two, with wine, on Valentine's Day at The Green Man, Longfield Hill, so turn to page 10 and get your Wordsearch entries in by February 11th. Congratulations to Janet Higgins of Wrotham, who won a £50 Gift Card to spend at Bluewater Shopping Centre courtesy of us here at THE VILLAGE ADVERTISER in our January Wordsearch Competition. Whether you're a new advertiser in our area, looking for help to promote your business, or an existing customer with fresh ideas on how you want your advert to look, please get in touch. You can call us on 01474 854518 or 01474 707484 or email us at [email protected]. Deadline for the March edition is 14th February 2013. Thank you for all your feedback via phone calls, letters and emails. One of our most popular requests has been for us to publish the previous month’s answer to our competition. So from now on we will be doing so. Last months answer (January edition) was SNOWBALL. So as we head towards half term later this month, we'll be loving our partners for Valentine's, loving our children during the half term break, and loving longer days and a change in the weather. By the way, how's your New Year fitness regime going? Yes, we thought so . . .

Hartley De Sales Under 14’s FC Update

Hartley de Sales made it a “Lucky Seven” on Sunday 13th January as they completed their 7th straight win of the season, 7 - 0 away against local rivals Kingsdown Racers. Just to complete the number 7 theme this result puts the boys 7 points clear at the top of their league at the time of writing and came a week after their 5 - 1 victory at home to Snodland Nomads! The team are due to play 2 more games in January and we will update you with their progress in the next issue.
