Total Volunteer Hours: 518 Total IPM Hours: 394 Above: 39 people participated in “Yoga in the Park” at McNear’s Beach Park on February 1, 2014. Prior to yoga, volunteers cleaned the McNear’s shoreline and spruced up landscaped areas in the park. Volunteer activity at Stafford Lake Park: Brandon- general park maintenance, bench repair, 24 total hours. Disc Golf Course Volunteers- 6 volunteers assisted with course maintenance and Ice Bowl tournament preparations, 48 total hours. Volunteer activity at McInnis Park: Community Service- 1 volunteer, litter and dog waste pick-up, 19 total hours. Assigned Hours- 2 volunteers, hand weeding (mallow), 16 total hours. Gallinas Watershed Council- creek clean-ups during “king tide” events on February 1 st and February 16 th . Coordination by Art Reichert. Clean-up on 2/1 had 5 volunteers for 3 hours. Clean-up on 2/16 included students from Terra Linda High School, 10 volunteers in total for 3 hours. Totals from both events= 45 hours from 15 volunteers. Volunteer activity at McNear’s Beach Park: Ian- 2 days, litter pick-up and raking, 4 total hours. Yoga in the Park on February 1 st - 39 volunteers, litter pick-up and Mexican sage pruning. Staff from LIFT-Levantate assists with outreach and lends yoga mats for event. Park Ambassador Finola Diaz offers bilingual assistance for sign-ins, prepares hot lunch in McNear’s Beach snack bar. . Professional Yoga teacher Daniel Rauck led 39 people in a fantastic 45 minute yoga class. Parks Ambassador Finola Diaz offered

bilingual assistance for volunteers as they signed-in, and also prepared a hot lunch in the McNear’s Beach snack bar. Staff from LIFT-Levantate

helped with outreach and provided yoga mats for the event. Yoga in the Park is now part of Marin County Parks’ “Healthy Parks, Healthy

People” collaborative events calendar.
