In February, we will be studying Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. Take some time to
read and meditate on the message.
Excerpt from “The Message Bible”
“Paul’s letter to the Ephesians joins to-gether what has been torn apart in our sin-wrecked world. He begins with an exu-
berant exploration of what Christians believe about God, and then, like a sur-
geon skillfully setting a compound-fracture, ‘sets’ this belief in God into our behavior before God so that the bones--belief and behavior—knit together and
heal...And so Paul goes to work. He rang-es widely, from heaven to earth and back again, showing how Jesus, the Messiah, is eternally and tirelessly bringing every-thing and everyone together... Now that we know what is going on, that the ener-gy of reconciliation is the dynamo at the heart of the universe, it is imperative that we join in vigorously and perseveringly, convinced that every detail in our lives
contributes (or not) to what Paul de-scribes as God’s plan worked out by
Christ, ‘a long-range plan in which every-thing would be brought together and
summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth.”

Last Monday Evening in February-2/27/17
6:30-8:30, in Youth Building
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens an-other.” Proverbs 27:17
Much is said in Christian circles about know-ing God. But there can-not be deep knowledge of God without deep knowledge of oneself. In this profound explora-tion of Christian identi-ty, spiritual director and psychologist David Benner illuminates the spirituality of self-discovery. Genuine self-understanding revitalizes
our spiritual lives and leads to the fulfillment of our God-given destiny and vocation.
Each participant needs to buy the book, read it, and come for dinner & discussion.
