Mike “Oh that You would bless me and enlarge my border and that your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from harm, so that it might not bring me pain. And God granted what he asked.” II Chronicles 4:10 As I have shared with you over the past four Sunday Mornings, my desire and prayer for 2018 is that it would be a year of Blessing in our lives, our church, and our community. Studying through God’s Word each Sunday we have considered: “Being Positioned For Blessing”, “How To Bless Our Community”, “What Causes People To Miss Out On God’s Blessing”, and this past week “Being Blessed To Be A Blessing” (You can pick of CDs/ DVDs of these Service in the foyer). The truth of the matter is we serve an awesome God who desires for us to know and experience His Blessing in our lives! And like Jabez who cried out to God for His Blessing in II Chronicles 4:10, I want to challenge you to actively join with me in asking for God’s blessing and seeking God’s blessing for yourself, your family, our church, our community, and our world. Not in a self-focused wayBut that God would receive the greatest Glory possible in and through our lives! All ready I can share with you that as a church we are experiencing evidence of God’s Blessing as we prepare to consider calling Jeff Arnold as our Student Minister in two weeksHe and his wife Cody will be coming in view of a call on Feb. 11. Also, I can share with you that your Building Committee is preparing to share with you their recommendations related to our proposed Ministry Center and a future vision for our church (hopefully this month). And in addition to that, I continue to be amazed at how God has been bringing new families our way as a church in these days. There is a growing sense that God is up to something Big in 2018 in our church. And I would urge to pray and participate in what He is up to as fully as possible. And be praying for our Spring Revival with Bro. Shawn Barnard, pastor of Crossgate Church in Hot Springs this next month, March 4-11. I can’t help but believe that too maybe a major part of God’s plan to bless us in these days. I will be continuing this series of messages on “Blessing” this coming Sunday as we start off this month together. I hope you will be in your place as we continue to seek to be positioned for blessing as we Study God’s Word and Worship together as God’s People! Your Pastor & Friend,

“Oh that You would bless me and enlarge my border and that your hand

would be with me, and that You would keep me from harm, so that it might

not bring me pain. And God granted what he asked.”

II Chronicles 4:10

As I have shared with you over the past four Sunday Mornings, my desire and prayer for 2018 is that it would be a year of Blessing in our lives, our church, and our community. Studying through God’s Word each Sunday we have considered: “Being Positioned For Blessing”, “How To Bless Our Community”, “What Causes People To Miss Out On God’s Blessing”, and this past week “Being Blessed To Be A Blessing” (You can pick of CDs/DVDs of these Service in the foyer). The truth of the matter is we serve an awesome

God who desires for us to know and experience His Blessing in our lives!

And like Jabez who cried out to God for His Blessing in II Chronicles 4:10, I want to challenge you to actively join with me in asking for God’s blessing and seeking God’s blessing for yourself, your family, our church, our community, and our world. Not in a self-focused way—But that God would receive the greatest Glory possible in

and through our lives!

All ready I can share with you that as a church we are experiencing evidence of God’s Blessing as we prepare to consider calling Jeff Arnold as our Student Minister in two weeks—He and his wife Cody will be coming in view of a call on Feb. 11. Also, I can share with you that your Building Committee is preparing to share with you their recommendations related to our proposed Ministry Center and a future vision for our church (hopefully this month). And be praying for our Spring Revival with Bro. Shawn Barnard, pastor of Crossgate Church in Hot Springs this next month, March 4-11. I can’t help but believe that too

maybe a major part of God’s plan to bless us in these days.

Just Passing Notes

Just a couple of thoughts: 1) Have you noticed our choir? We are growing. Better yet are you listening? They have improved not only in singing but in leading out in worship. Our practices have picked up in learning new songs and even our fellowship is sweeter, closer, but probably even more, we are louder. But we are having fun. So, to pass on a few roses, let me say that this past “Christmas Memories” special, was probably the best ever put on by “C to C.” It was family oriented and to me it was like sitting around the Christmas tree at Grandma’s house. I am really appreciative of our choir. 2) Our seating arrangement changed for the Christmas special and has remained; in case you haven’t noticed. We have more “elbow” room and the sound seems to be better and: we have room to grow. However: there have been a few comments about the chairs. I agree they are not the most beautiful chairs around; they could use some recovering or replacement. Now if someone wants to step up and purchase all new chairs, just come see me. But there is a cheaper solution and the most practi-cal. Ready? It may require some deep thinking, but here goes. Since Christmas, our worship attendance has increasingly lessened. (Is that an oxymoron?) So when the choir comes down, the choir chairs are empty and you have to look at their bad condition. But: if we as members of Trinity and of the Kingdom would re-involve ourselves in the services of God as He said in His Word, (you know the one: “forsake NOT the assembling of our-selves”) then the auditorium seats would be full and the choir would have to stay up in the choir during the service and you would NOT be able to see the bad covering on the chairs….see, I told you it would be a simple solution and no money would be spent. I have never met anyone who complained about full services. Now: I double dog dare anyone to find something wrong with that…just passing notes….see you Sunday.
