Programs for Adults The Korean War — Bill Heidner, Museum Curator of the Yuma Proving Ground Heritage Center, will present “The Korean War – from Task Force Smith to the Frozen Chosin – results and ramifications.” Learn more about the most harrowing battle of the Korean War. 10:30 am Thursday, Feb. 13 Your Heart, Your Life — Sunset Health hosts a four-week series to teach you how to take good care of yourself. Programs are at 2 pm Wednesdays.

Feb. 19 – Diabetes Care and Living Smoke Free
Feb. 26 – Healthy Meals and Physical Activity Gardening with Native Plants — Learn how to create a garden with plants native to the desert Southwest as you become a friend to pollinators. Presented by Nancy Meister and Deirdre MacDonald, Master Gardeners, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Yuma County. 10:30 am Thursday, Feb. 20 Paint Wellton — Put your painting skills to work as we paint scenes from around Wellton. We encourage participants to enter their artwork in the Wellton 2020 exhibit. Supplies provided by a grant from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation. 10:30 am Thursday, Feb. 27 Non-Fiction Book Club — The group will discuss “Empire of the Air” by Thomas Lewis at 10 am Friday, Feb. 28. String Art — Join us for this simple but artistic crafting event. 10:30 am Thursday, Feb. 6. Book Club — The Wellton Book Club discusses “Indianapolis” by Lynn Vincent and Sara Vladic on Friday, Feb. 7 and “The Mules Go In Front” by Shirley Woodhouse Murdock at 10 am Friday, Feb. 21.
Conversational Spanish — Work on your basic conversational Spanish skills 10:30 am Wednesdays. Computer Basics — A three-Saturday series will provide basics of how to use computers and what not to do. Programs are 10 a.m. to noon.

Programs for Children & Teens Upcycle CD Ladybug — Be nice to the planet: Reuse discarded items. In this event, we’ll upcycle old compact discs to make a cute ladybug. — 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1. Wellton 2020 Hobbies — Love your hobby? Show it off in a painting. We encourage participants to enter their artwork in the upcoming Wellton 2020 community art exhibit at the library. — 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
Programs for Teens Creative Lab — Teens get creative with these weekly events. Programs start at 3:45 on Tuesdays.
Feb. 4: Build A Love Bug — Build and design your own Valentine love bug
Feb. 11: Valentine Circuit Card — Make a cute light-up Valentine card for someone special or to keep for yourself.
Feb. 18: Coffee Filter Heart — Create a masterpiece by using coffee filters and markers
Feb. 25: Floating Heart Ink — Experiment with dry erase markers and water.
Programs for Children Family Storytime — Infants and young children will benefit from stories, games, music, crafts and more! Tuesdays at 10:30 am Children’s Crafts — 3:45 pm Wednesdays.
Feb. 5: Cactus Heart — Just print, cut, and paste and you have an adorable cactus heart.
Feb. 12: Valentine Mailbox — Easy to make and the kids can decorate however they like!
Feb. 19: Love Bug Candy — This Love Bug is a craft that's also a fun treat for kids.
Feb. 26: Use Your Imagination. Library Lab/Builders Club — 3:45 pm Thursdays.
Feb. 6: Dr. Eureka — Mix the molecules, master the formula while developing logic and bilateral coordination skills.
Feb. 13: Heart-A-Stack — Who can stack the most candy hearts, one on top of the other, in a minute?

Science & Slices 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15
The Arizona Science Center brings its Science on Wheels to Wellton.
Young scientists-to-be will use plastic bottles, water and compressed air to learn about
aerodynamics as they design, test, modify and launch rockets.
Participants are invited to stay after the program for pizza.
