Cost: $75.00 Kit fee: $45.00 Hardware kit: $120.00
Tuffets are a touch of whimsy for your home that blend with all decors and bridge the gap between design and function. In addition to being heirloom home accents, they make great gifts! So choose a precut jelly roll and sew a gorgeous tuffet cover and learn to, or actually turn, that cover into an upholstered footstool.
To finish the tuffet you may elect to create just the top, and add the heavier base after you return home. This will be completely demonstrated in class and is not difficult! Or you can choose to finish your entire tuffet in class. In either case, we will have available for purchase a pre-drilled wood round, button form, T-nuts, bun feet or casters and screws. If you are interested in these finishing supplies, they must be pre-ordered when you sign up for class and if you are traveling, shipping of the un-assembled tuffet will be included with your hardware kit fee.

This is a fairly simple, graduating fabric strip pieced quilt. The strips are cut into 6” x 6”, 6” x 12” and 6” x 18” finished blocks which fit perfectly together into a “woven look.” To add interest, the strips are made with different sized widths and sewn with gentle curved seams. Viv will show you how to make these curved seams effortlessly with no templates and no pinning. The kit includes the pattern and fabrics for the quilt center, borders and binding and will be partially cut for you so that you can maximize class time. Finished quilt size is 48” x 60.”
The Sew Together™ Bag, designed by SewDemented, is a niffty little bag with three zippered pockets, four open pockets, a pincushion and a great little needle landing all held together by a zipper that forms two handles.
This bag will easily hold your 8" scissors, rotary cutter, marking pencils, seam ripper, extra needles, thread, snippers, and much more. It will amaze you how much you can hold in this fun and compact bag.
Join with new and old friends for a delicious catered dinner, games, door prizes, and fun! Please bring a project that you have completed in the past year, or a work in progress from the retreat, to share.

Just a brief word about sewing machines. We do have very nice, recently serviced, new Monarch brand sewing machines for rent, but please rememberthat it will probably be an unfamiliar machine for you. If it is at all possible foryou to bring your own portable sewing machine, you might find it easier tojump into each project and class. We want everyone to have the ultimate, most wonderful quilting experience possible. It might be that bringing and
using a sewing machine, with which you are familiar, will ultimately be easier.
On the other hand, we understand - and appreciate - that traveling with asewing machine may create some logistical challenges. We encourage you tocarefully consider the pros and cons of renting a sewing machine vs. bringing
your own sewing machine.
