Those to remember in prayer…

Charles Huckabee was taken to Clear Lake Hospital last Monday with a very low blood pressure and struggling with his breathing. His heart is very weak and he is quite ill and in the ICU, room 325. The family requests that he does not have visitors at this time. Peggy Busha has been struggling for several weeks to get over pneumonia. She had received several rounds of antibiotics, but was getting weaker and went to the ER last Tuesday. The doctors believe that the prior antibiotics were not strong enough and this led to a rise in the lactic acid in her lungs, which made it very hard to breathe. She received treatment at the hospital and was able to return home the same day. She is feeling much better.

Lisa Jong, Chris' daughter -in-law, was hospitalized last

weekend and on Monday she had her gall bladder

removed and was doing so well that she was able to go

home on Tuesday.

Linda Bynum had minor outpatient surgery this past

Thursday and it went very well. The doctor believes that

this will go a long way towards alleviating the bad pain

she has been experiencing in her abdomen and back.

Cole Kelley, Amy Stigers’ and Anna Sanders’

5 year old cousin, has been battling a very rare blood

condition, black fan anemia, since before his first

birthday. They moved him last week to the St. Jude

Children’s hospital in Memphis to undergo more tests

and the family received good news that Cole does not

have Leukemia. Please continue to remember Cole and

his family as he continues to deal with the anemia.

Frankie Lofton, the mother -in-law of Cindy Morris’

niece, Jamie, is in the hospital with heart issues. Jamie’s

father-in-law, Danny Lofton is now cancer free.

Calling All Men… To Breakfast

This Saturday morning, Feb. 11th, we will be having our first men’s prayer breakfast of the New Year. We hope that all of the men and young men of the congregation will join us for this great time of food, fellowship, and prayer. We will begin at 8 a.m.

2017 VBS Dates

Summer seems far away yet,

but it will be here before we

know it. We hope everyone will

mark their calendars for our

VBS, which will take place on

June 19th-22nd.

Special Sunday Night Bible Study

Next Sunday evening, February 12th, Rayford is going to begin a special Sunday night Bible study series,

“Sharing the Gospel”. He will walk us through a step by step plan for sharing the gospel with our friends and loved ones. We hope everyone will plan to

be here with Bible, pen, and notepad in hand for this study.

All the ladies in the congregation are encouraged to come to the Ladies prayer group today at 5:00 pm in the large classroom on the back hallway.

It is time for an updated mini member

directory to be printed. Please check to see that

all of your information is still up-to-date. If all of your information

is correct, please put a check mark next to your name. Thank you!

Everyone in the congregation is invited to stay after services tonight

to watch the second half of the Super Bowl in the fellowship hall.

Please, bring your favorite finger foods and desserts.

Lauren Anderson will start tomorrow as the new church

secretary. Sheri has greatly enjoyed her work in the office, but has made

the decision to leave this role in order to focus on family business.

On behalf of the entire congregation, the elders and ministers want to thank

Sheri for the wonderful job she has done in the past year.

Brandee Shults, Nikki Spears’ sister , was moved

to another apartment after the apartment below her

caught fire this past Wednesday in Conroe. They are

not allowed in their apartment, but have heard that

there is smoke and soot damage.

We will let the congregation know if there are some

needs we can help with.
