Pastor Fady has been the senior pastor of The Shepherd's Field Church since 1996. Dr. Al-Hagal was born and raised in Syria and he addresses the influence of Islam in Europe and its threat on the religious, educational, social, and political life in the United States of America. Using the Word of God as the basis of His presentation, Dr. Fady Al-Hagal exposes the mindset of Islamic Jihadists and Islam as a false religion from its inception. His subjects include: Islam as a false religion Islam and the Bible Islam’s dream of worldwide domination Islam’s influence on America Islam’s political, religious, and social agenda. Islam and the threat of freedom How to reach a Muslim for Christ FROM THE PASTOR Saving America I am so glad that we have the opportunity to go hear Dr. Fady Al-Hagal on the relevant issue of Muslims in our culture. Dr. Al-Hagal was born and grew up in Damascus Syria, a nation ruled and dominated by Islam. Syria is a nation torn by extreme Islamic Jihadist movements resulting in the death of over two hundred thousand people since 2010. Dr. Fady, as he is commonly called, grew up in a Christian home despite the fact that only ten percent of Syria is Christian. Even though he was in a Christian home, he did not become a Christian until he was living in America as a student at UT-Martin in 1984. Later he surrendered to the Gospel ministry and is now a pastor in the Martin area. In 1991 he became an American citizen. Go with us to First Baptist, Trenton on February 8th to hear Dr. Fady preach on “Saving America from the Extreme Influence of Islam.” The New Welcome Center One way to reach out to our visitors is to invite them to a welcome center and give them information about our church along with a gift. Johnny Canada has built a beautiful welcome center for the foyer. It is a tall desk to be an attractive area where guest will be able to find out more about the church. We are in the process of producing material to give to visitors to let them know more about White Hall and find ways of serving the Lord through our church. We want to be able to share with our guests about our wonderful Sunday School and Training Union classes. We also want to let them know about our wonderful heritage as a church. One way we can express our gratitude to our guest and to let them know how thankful we are that they chose to worship with us is to give them a small gift. That gift may be as simple as a small cup with candy in it, or something more special, like homemade bread. We are still in prayer about what we can give to our guest, so I would like to ask you to pray with us, and if you have any suggestions, please let us know. It is our desire that as we welcome guests to our church and we gather their contact information, we will be able to share the love of Jesus with them. I am praying that we will lead people to the Lord through this new outreach ministry. Easter comes early this year (April 15); Therefore, we must start preparing our Easter Music. This year the choir will present “Worthy is the Lamb.” Revelation 5:12 (NIV) declares “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

What a glorious time to rejoice in the miraculous resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We want to invite you to come and sing with us this Easter as we celebrate the risen Lord. We need you to blend your voice in singing praises to our Lord.

Happy Valentine's day everyone!!! We are getting ready for our annual White Hall Valentine's Banquet Youth fundraiser. This is our biggest event of the year to raise summer mission funds for the youth. We have been blessed in previous years by your generosity and God has led us to go into the growing mission fields and we have been able to do so because of your love, support and kindness. Our banquet this year will on Sunday February 15 at 5:30. We have a sign up sheet on the board in the hall and the youth are working on a program for that night. Our menu will be spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and of course wonderful WHBC cooks, we need your help with these dishes.

Thank you, God bless, Ms. Sarah

TRUTH SEEKERS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS

From the teacher’s perspective: We are a unique group, due to our helping each other

learn more about Gods will for our lives, but also discussing and encouraging each other in our individual problems. Most important we pray for each other and lay hands on each other in times of sickness, sorrow or pain.

We attempt to have a fellowship get together monthly. We love for others to join us. We are undertaking a new mission project which we are

all excited about. Please pray that we as a class will abide by Gods will and glorify his Name.

We would invite you to join us in this endeavor to tell others about Christ.

We welcome you to come visit our class. You will be a welcomed guest.

We are a diverse group in our ages and personality. So all are welcome.

The children of White Hall are busy getting ready for Bible drills and Valentine's day. We will be singing one or two songs for the Youth Valentine Banquet on Sunday Feb. 15. We will be having Super Sunday for preschool through 6th grade on Sunday Feb. 22nd from 12:00-2:00PM. I just wanted to remind everyone if your child is interested in being in the children's choir, we meet every Sunday evening at 5pm and practice.

The enthusiasm of our children is contagious, (maybe I should use another word considering the flu going around) and will brighten your heart if you come hear them sing on the 4th Sunday night of every month. We will also be having our Community wide Easter egg hunt next month so we are already collecting eggs and candy for this event . The box will be in the foyer and we appreciate your donations. God has blessed White Hall with a great bunch of children and blessed me with the joy of working with them.

Our mission field this year hasn't been set but we are praying for God's direction about a certain area and ask that you pray with us as we seek His directions. The Youth are also gearing up for the Youth Evangelism Conference in Nashville, March 13-15. There is a sign up sheet also in the hall on the board. The price is $35.00 per youth. If you would like to sponsor a youth for this event please let me know. There is an Easter box in the foyer to collect eggs AND candy for our Easter egg Community wide hunt and for Galloway. We appreciate your help with collecting these essentials, and if you bring them already stuffed God will bless you and so will I and the youth. :)

MISSIONS GET-TOGETHER — An event for women

CONNECTION — A missions event for girls in grades 7-12

Featured Speaker Jean Roberson, Birmingham, AL. Jean is a gifted speaker with a passion for ministry. She is currently an assistant professor at Samford University in Birmingham. She served as a ministry consultant for national WMU and in her role, served as the director for Christian Women's Job Corps/Christian Men's Job Corps, as well as, team leader for the adult team. You will delight in her sweet spirit and warm personality.

Featured Speaker Rachel Lovingood, Hendersonville, TN. Rachel is an author and speaker. She and her husband have been involved in student ministry for the past 25 years. She firmly believes that God's Word is transforming and the best way to live the abundant life is by following Christ daily. She brings the truth of scripture unapologetically and uses everyday situations to help participants make applications to their lives. Rachel is real and relevant and girls will invariably walk away challenged and changed.

From a class member’s perspective:

The Truth Seeker Sunday School class is such a blessing to me that it would be very hard to leave the class and go to another. The entire group is very sensitive to each other’s needs and, as needed, offers up special prayers and the laying on of hands as they bond with each other through their trails. No one who joins this group feels like a stranger or an outcast, and immediately begins joining in discussions and sharing their viewpoints and life’s experiences. Prayer requests and praise reports are shared with full confidence that the group is their brothers and sisters in Christ and are truly concerned for them. This group truly desires to be led by the Holy Spirit to the point that there are times when the teacher will discuss a topic laying on her heart rather than the pre-planned lesson. We seek the truth of God’s Word. And we are not faith healers but we truly believe in healing faith that has been seen a number of times. Give God glory for this group.
