Our first tournament of thenew golf season is the SuperBowl Shoot-Out which uses amodified stableford systemfeaturing football style pointsand Superbowl Raffle forprizes. So many people struggle tomake a consistent strike inchipping. The big thing is to besure the low point of yourswing—where the club hits theground—comes after youcontact the ball. Try this: (1) Set more weighton your front foot, andmaintain that position through

impact; (2) Rotate yourshoulders through the shot.Some golfers rock theshoulders like a seesaw. Whenthe front shoulder rocks up onthe downswing, the spine tipsaway from the target and thelow point shifts back. So stayforward and turn that shoulderopen. You'll chip it great

PRACTiCE RANGEPlease note: The driving range

will close at 4:30pm on Sundays &Thursdays and open at 8:30am onMondays and Fridays toaccommodate weeklymaintenance.The Member’s practice tee has

been closed recently due tomaintenance for improvement.Please respect the closure of this teefrom time to time so that our crewcan complete necessarymaintenance. Whenever themember’s tee is closed, we willattempt to have an area for hittingoff of grass, as weather permits.During the winter, the all accesssection of the range will be “matsonly” during the week. The grasswill be used on weekends, weatherpermitting. This will help maintainthe quality of the turf during theslower growing season.Also, we would like to remind

our members that range balls andbags are NOT to be removed fromthe driving range. If you have anybags or balls in your cars, golf carts,or garage, we ask that you pleasereturn them to the driving range sowe can keep them in circulation forthe enjoyment of all members andguests. Thanks!

The course winds through beautiful low countrywooded wetlands surrounded by community homes.Golf Pro Shop hours are 7AM-7PM everyday.• During golf play hours of 7AM to dusk only ProShop authorized golfers and the Club maintenancestaff are allowed on the course and cart paths.

• Personal golf carts, skate boards or other personalmotorized vehicles are not permitted on thecourse or cart paths at anytime.

• Golfers are expected to dress appropriately. Menmust wear collared shirts (sorry-no denimallowed on the Golf Course). For women shirtswithout collars must have sleeves, and shirtswithout sleeves must have collars. Soft spikes arerequired.

• Dog walkers, permitted before or after golf hours,must carry and use pooper scoopers and keeppets off of tees, fairways, greens and bunkers.

• The course is open for public play daily, but allplay must be approved by the proshop prior tobeginning on the course.

• Any unapproved play, practice or abuse observedon the course may result in suspension of Clubprivileges and/or fines.

COOSAW CREEK COUNTRY ClUBHOUSE isCoosaw Creek’s community center featuring full servicedining, Bar, Meeting Rooms and Pro Shop. In addition tosupporting the many social functions of the Members, theClubhouse banquet facilities are available to Members andthe public for meetings, parties, weddings and othercelebrations. Take-out and call ahead service is alsoavailable.• Quality denim or golf shorts are allowed in theclubhouse unless specified otherwise for special events.Men must wear collared shirts for all weekly diningevents after 5 pm and all day on Sundays. 13TENNiS and BASKETBAll COURTSTwo regulation Plexipave lighted tenniscourts and a basketball court areavailable to Members only:• Tennis courts are strictly reserved fortennis.• Tennis play is on a first come, firstserved basis until 12:00 Midnight.• Appropriate apparel and regulationtennis shoes are required for play on thetennis courts.• Shirts must be worn at all times on theBasketball Court which is a multifunction surface that can be used for anysuitable purpose.• The Basketball Court is available on afirst come first served basis.

SWiMMiNG POOlS Open from Memorial Day Weekenduntil Labor Day Weekend, theSwimming Pool is staffed with

lifeguards during published hours andis available for open swim (at your ownrisk) when lifeguards are not present.• Please observe and follow all rulesposted in the pool area.• All instructions from pool staff and/orlifeguards must be obeyed.• All Food or Beverages must bepurchased from the Club, unless priorapproval has been obtained from theGeneral Manager.• Pool closes at 9:00 PM except forspecial events.

PlAYGROUND – A specially-designedarea equipped with swings, slides andother playground equipment is availableand located next to the Pool Pavilion –For safety any child under 9 years oldmust be supervised by an adult.• Playground closes at 9:00 PM

PONDS – Coosaw Creek’s beautifulponds have been stocked with fish - butbeware of snakes, alligators and otherwildlife.• The course ponds are part of a largerlow country wooded wetland area.Please respect this incredible asset andavoid contaminating it with any foreignmaterials or liquids.• Fishing is allowed only from the bankand only in designated areas. Theseareas have been selected to ensure thatpeople fishing are not in the normalflight of golf balls and that ponds can beapproached without crossing the courseor using the cart paths. They arelocated:• BEHIND THE PLAYGROUND –Approach from McChune Court • HOLE 15 – Approach from ArthurHills Circle • HOLE 16 – Approach from ClubCourse Drive • HOLE 17 – Approach from Power LineBreak • Fish in course ponds are for “catch andrelease” and not for consumption – amajor disappointment to our chef!

COOSAW CREEK WAlKiNG/RiDiNG POliCY1. All walkers are expected to walk the entiregolf course. Walkers who are found standingon the back of a cart or riding in the cart atanytime during their round will be charged acart fee for their round. 2. Members will be required to use a golf cartfor all tournament rounds (except ClubChampionship & Senior Club Championship).3. Maximum number of carts allowed in agroup is 2. For 2 carts to be allowed in anygroup, a minimum of 3 players is required.Any group found to have multiple carts forsingle riders will be asked by Club staff toconsolidate carts. Failure to consolidate willresult in an additional cart fee charged to eachsingle rider.

COOSAW CREEK PACE OF PlAY POliCY1. Any groups playing with 2 players or singles on weekends andholidays until 10am, will be paired up with other groups whenpossible. This may require a delay to the start of play from thereserved tee-time. At the discretion of the golf shop staff and basedon availability, groups with 2 players or less may be allowed to playbut are expected to hold their position on the golf course, directlybehind the group in front of them.2. The expected pace of play at Coosaw Creek is 4 hours and 15minutes. All play starting before 10am on weekends and holidaysis expected to maintain this pace of play. A group out of positionwill be notified that they are out of position. If that group fails toregain their position on the course, the group will be directed toskip forward to regain their position. Any groups who fail to finishtheir round of golf within the expected pace of play will not bepermitted to play in the members only tee-time block on weekendsand holidays.
