Edition 12: 2019-2020 5 February 2020 February is Peace and Conflict Resolution Month in Rotary and listening to our speakers at this week’s meeting made me realise that everything we do as a club and as Rotarians has an impact on Peace. Through our service projects including the Art Show, RORP, Christmas care packages the Op Shop and Fit4 Use Store, our many school scholarships, and the Rotary Foundation, our members are taking action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, inequality, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources. We bridge cultures, empower youth, rebuild lives, educate refugees, prevent domestic violence, break myths and promote peace scholars. Congratulations to Cody, Whitney and Aspen Bettanin on the safe but late arrival of a precious baby girl, Harlow Isabel born today. Whitney, Cody and Aspen are all well.
