South East Regional Director Jill Blakeney hosted the Girl Scouts and "Great Earth Adventures" on Saturday April 27th. for the 3rd year. The USWHBA was invited to the

Girl Scouts' Third Annual Great Earth Adventure again this year. Jill and Connor Blakeney took their seven year old mustang mares Spitfire and Lil' Missy to meet the girls. The girls were briefed on the mustang’s history and the current situation of

America's wild mustangs. The girls were given the opportunity to groom the mares and walk them through an in-hand obstacle course. Both Lil' Missy and Spitfire amazed the

girls by putting their front feet on a pedestal, shaking hands, and kissing. Over 100 scouts and parents visited with the mustangs that day. A raffle was held with each group and the winner receiving a copy of movie "Wild Horse, Wild Ride" which was donated by the Blakeneys. Thanks to the BLM for providing posters and mustang related items

for the event. Photos are from the Girl Scout event. Mustang on the pedestal is Lil' Missy.
