Review of Monthly Reports -Drug Card Report

NBBI Reps receives two monthly reports via email. The first report sent around the middle of the month is a Drug Card report for the counts a rep has accumulated during the previous month. For example on or around January 15th an email will was sent with your Decembert counts. This report is formatted in the body of the email and lists the # claims, also called counts, for each Card ID/Group combination. It contains your personal script counts as well as the script counts from your down line. The report is sorted by Name, then ID/Group:

The drug card report gives you the counts for both the old CAP program (BIN 011867) and the Americas Drug Card (ADC) program (BIN 610709). The counts displayed in this report may also be viewed from your back office.

Review of Monthly Reports -Pharmacy Report

The Pharmacy report is the second report that is emailed. It is sent around the last week of the month as file attachment to the email. A separate email is sent for the old CAP program and the ADC program, each containing the Pharmacy report for the associated Bin.

The Pharmacy report has been formatted as a Comma Separated Values file, or CSV. This means that it is a text file and may be opened by any text editor such as Notepad, but should ideally be opened by a spreadsheet program such as Excel for ease of reading and to allow maximum data manipulation such as sorting and filtering by the various fields. Since it is a text file, it is less likely to be blocked by the ISP firewalls and SPAM filters.

Each line in the file contains twelve comma separated values. They are, from left to right: Reporting Group (your name), Adjudication Period (month reported; formatted as YYYYMM), Drug Card ID, Drug Card Group, Pharmacy Chain Name, Pharmacy Short Name, Pharmacy State, Pharmacy City, Pharmacy Zip Code, Pharmacy Store Name and Address, the percentage of that pharmacy store's script counts with respect to your overall script counts, and finally the approximate counts for that pharmacy derived from the percentage.


Two new fields have been added to the file, PharmacyChainName, and AproximateCounts. PharmacyChainName is the name of the major chain that the individual store belongs to. ApproximateCounts is an approximation of the counts for that pharmacy derived from the PerCentScripts column and your total personal counts (from CAP or ADC) for which you received commission.

The report is intended to be used together with the drug card report emailed around the middle of the month. If you have distributed drug cards under both programs you will receive two emails with the following attachment in each:

The email attachment should be saved to your PC’s hard disk in a folder that you have created for these reports before attempting to open the file.


After the file is saved on your PC’s hard drive, double click on the file and MS Excel should open. Using Excel affords you the opportunity to manipulate the data to look for patterns and trends. Click to the left of the A1 cell to highlight the whole spread sheet and then double click on the vertical line between A and B to expand the cells.

To see which pharmacies have the highest script counts sort the ApproxCounts column from highest to lowest by right clicking on the column and selecting Sort Z to A.


You can also filter by specific states and or zip codes by clicking on the data tab, then the funnel, unchecking Select All, and then checking the specific state or zip or city.

When you’re done, save the file as an Excel workbook so that you don’t lose any of the data analysis and formatting you added.

ObamaCare Enrollment Projections Down 40%

Just like nearly every other area of ACA, this year's enrollment projections are failing to meet the promises made by supporters of the law.

From the Washington Times:Obamacare enrollment is lagging far behind what economists had projected, the Congressional Budget Office said in a new report that cuts the total number of customers expected to buy plans on the exchanges from 21 million down to just 13 million this year.Of those, 11 million will be getting government subsidies — down from the 15 million the CBO had projected just a year ago.This all comes against the backdrop of big increases in the fines to be levied by the IRS for not complying with the individual mandate and carrying health insurance. This year, the potential fine for a family jumps to $2,085, or 2.5% of income.But with ObamaCare's increasing premiums and enormous deductibles, many families still can't make ObamaCare work with their budget.
