a chaotic and corrupt land administration

system,

abuse of mass housing programme,

endemic traffic congestion,

failing environmental orderliness,

threatening security situation,

inadequate transportation infrastructure &

services,

LAUNCHING OF ACCELERATED

AREA COUNCIL TITLE REISSUANCE

SCHEME (AACTRIS)

Conversion of customary (Area Council) land titles to statutory titles saw the lunching of Accelerated Area Council Titles Reissuance Scheme (AACTRIS) on the 19th of December, 2011.

So far, the Project Implementation Committee has cleared 170 cases for issuance of Certificates of Occupancy with the hope of increasing this figure to 1000 in the shortest time.
