MDS 8.2 and 14.2 models have been specially designed for vineyards and orchards, where they are able to weave smoothly in and out of row plantations. MDS 18.2 and 20.2 models have a wide range of extensions that give them more autonomy and enable them to adapt to different tractor types. MDS 8.2 / 14.2 / 18.2 / 20.2Product information

KUHN’s MDS range of fertiliser spreaders has now been upgraded to the .2 series. There are so many possibilities now in terms of size, capacity, outlet opening and closing, and even regulation. MDS 8.2 and 14.2 models have been specially designed for vineyards and orchards, where they are able to weave smoothly in and out of row plantations. MDS 18.2 and 20.2 models have a wide range of extensions that give them more autonomy and enable them to adapt to different tractor types. Their graduated scales are ideally positioned to be visible from the tractor cab, and with the machine’s centre of gravity being close to the tractor, it is easier to drive on rough ground.

Narrow machines are easier to operate between rows

The overall width of the MDS 8.2 fertiliser spreader is 1.08 m. The hopper has “broken” angles which contribute to being able to move from row to row without damaging the crops. The overall width of the MDS 14.2 model is 1.40 m making it very easy to handle in wide vines and orchards.

Spreading discsor limiter

It takes just a few seconds to adjust the spreading discs to the product being used and to the working width required (M1 discs for 10 to 18 m widths and M2 for spreading widths of 18 to 24 m in an open field).

The spreading limiter on 2 rows directs the fertiliser to the base of the plantation (1.5 to 5 m spacing). The vanes can be adjusted for borders (and tunnels), as can the TELIMAT limiter. With the GSE limiter, spreading is possible from the edge of the field.

Visible fromthe driver’s seat

The 2 graduated scales are ideally posi-tioned at the front of the hopper to give the driver perfect visibility of settings from the tractor seat. Outlet controls are avai-lable in single or double-acting hydraulic versions, electric or electronic with the QUANTRON A control box.

Half-width shut-off comes as standard to give you increased spreading precision.

The QUANTRON A is compatible with variable rate application.
