NGDA Management Activities

❖ 2017 Lifecycle Maturity Assessment Survey❖ Released to the Geospatial Platform’s public dashboard

❖ Both 2015 and 2017 assessment results are available

❖ Accompanying NGDA Dataset reports are complete and pending release on the GeoPlatform

❖ Theme Leads are finishing up the Theme Implementation Plans and ❖ Theme Summary Reports 100% - in Coordination Group review

❖ Anticipate discussions with the Theme Leads, Dataset Managers, Executive Committee, Coordination Group on the NGDA goals and actions for the next NSDI Strategic Plan

❖ Sent memorandum May 29, 2018 through the President’s Management Council (PMC)

❖ To Federal agencies

❖ Designate a Senior Agency Officials for Geospatial Information (SAOGI) to oversee, coordinate, and facilitate the agency’s implementation of the geospatial-related requirements, policies, and activities

❖ Register attendance for the FGDC Steering Committee meeting in July.

COGO Report Card Update

❖ First COGO Report Card on the NSDI completed in 2015. Provided evaluation of framework Themes and overall NSDI status.

❖ Second Report Card assessment underway. Review of Framework Themes (plus Address) and NSDI status.

• FGDC staff has coordinated with COGO leadership &

evaluation teams

• Elevation & Geodetic Control theme evaluations being

completed

• COGO is finalizing theme reviews & report. Theme reviews

will be combined into consolidated COGO report.

• Completion expected in Summer 2018.

OGC Disasters Concept Development Study: Will assess the current state of data and product exchange technologies as used in disaster planning, response, and recovery.

NGAC Nominations

❖ FGDC will issue call for nominations for next round of NGAC appointments in early July 2018. Nominations will be due 45 days from announcement.

❖ Approximately one-half of current NGAC appointments will expire in December 2018.

• Nominations may come from individuals, employers, associations, professional organizations, or other parties.

• Nominations should include a resume providing an adequate description of the nominee’s qualifications, including information that would enable DOI to make an informed decision regarding meeting the membership requirements of the Committee.

• Nominees are strongly encouraged to include supporting letters from employers, associations, professional organizations, and/or other organizations that indicate support by a meaningful constituency for the nominee.

• Additional information may be requested from nominees
