i te rangi, i te whenua

ake tonu ake tonu.

To Mary now,

so we may be strong

MO MARIA

Attrib. Bishop Pompallier

O SONS AND DAUGHTERS

Jean Tisserand/Richard Proulx Tune: O FILII ET FILIAE

O sons and daughters, let us sing!

The king of heaven, the glorious king

o’er death today rose triumphing.

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

That Easter morn, at break of day,

the faithful women went their way

to seek the tomb where Jesus lay.

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

An angel clad in white they see,

who sat, and spoke unto the three,

“Your Lord has gone to Galilee”.

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

That night the apostles met in fear;

amidst them came their Lord most dear

and said, 'My peace be on all here'.

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

When Thomas first the tidings heard

how they had seen the risen Lord,

he doubted the disciples’ word.

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

‘My wounded side, O Thomas, see;

behold my hands, my feet,’ said he;

‘not faithless, but believing be.'

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

SING A NEW SONG

Dan Schutte

Sing a new song unto the Lord,

let your song be sung

from mountains high.

Sing a new song unto the Lord,

singing Alleluia

All God’s people dance for joy.

O come before the Lord

and play for Him on glad

tambourines

and let your trumpet sound.

Rise, O children from your sleep;

your Saviour now has come.

He has turned

your sorrow to joy,

and filled your soul with song.

Glad my soul for I have seen,

the glory of the Lord.

The trumpet sounds,

the dead shall be raised,

The word of the Lord is faithfulness and love. This love can never be measured.

God’s beauty is like nothing we have ever seen, so let us place our trust in God.

The word of the Lord means a patient, gentle God.

Whose love can never grow weary.

God’s mercy is as though our sins have never been,

if we can place our trust in God.

The word of the Lord is fire burning strong and love that never grows weary.

God will seek and save the lost until we all return,

so let us place our trust in God.

HOLY, HOLY, HOLY Tony Alonso

Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts.

Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest.

Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell;

on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;

from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,

the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

WE HAVE BEEN TOLD

Text: David Haas Tune: David Haas & Marty Haugen

We have been told, we’ve seen his face,

and heard his voice alive in our hearts;

“Live in my love with all your heart,

as the Father has loved me, so I have loved you.”

“I am the vine, you are the branches,

and all who live in me will bear great fruit.”

“You are my friends, if you keep my commands,

no longer slaves, I call you friends.”

“No greater love is there than this:

to lay down one’s life, for a friend.”
