FARM EXTRA EXPENSE Coverage can be added for the expenses incurred in order to resume or continue normal farming operations that were interrupted as the result of direct physical loss by a peril insured against to property covered under Coverages E, F, or G. The rate per $1000 of insurance is $38.78. Make an entry on the declarations page or a schedule to show the limit for the extra expense coverage in Form FO-6.

FARMOWNERS POLICY PROGRAM

Arkansas Preferred Farmowners (1-11) GR-8 CIG

• Roof Covering – The roof must be of composition, wood or tile shingles in good condition and if composition not over 15 years old. Some new metal type roofing may be acceptable, contact underwriter.

• Siding – The siding must be of masonry, brick, veneer, stone, concrete, concrete block, tile, frame, aluminum, vinyl or steel.

• Wiring – The dwelling must have a minimum of one circuit per room with the exception of the kitchen. The kitchen must have a minimum of two circuits, plus heavy-duty circuits as required for electric stoves, electric air conditioners, electric water heaters and electric clothes dryers. Wiring must meet local building codes and installed by a competent electrician.

Wood, coal, gas or oil fueled stoves are “NOT” acceptable as the primary heating plant, but may be acceptable as supplemental heat to an approved system.

Wood-Burning Heating Systems Wood-burning stoves and furnaces may be acceptable as supplemental auxiliary heat, but not as

a primary heating source. They must be professionally installed and properly vented to a tile lined masonry chimney constructed from the ground up and setting on its own masonry foundation or to a UL approved insulated or triple wall pipe. The dwelling must have an approved roof covering. A photograph of the wood-burning stove, or furnace and thimble must be submitted along with form SHQ-1, Supplemental Heating Questionnaire.

Barns and Outbuildings - See Underwriting Section for minimum amounts Type 1

• Superior characteristics and in excellent repair. • All metal construction (tanks, bins and Quonsets). • Fully enclosed and securely bolted on a continuous mortared masonry or concrete foundation. • All steel grain storage structures designed & used exclusively as bulk storage of grain. When

grain storage structures are attached by augers or spouts to an elevator leg assembly, and/or drying equipment or to one another, classify the entire structure as a grain complex and insured as one item.

Type 2A • Superior characteristics and in excellent repair. • Steel, pole or frame construction covered with metal roofing and sidewalls. • Building must be fully enclosed and have a pole or continuous concrete wall foundation. • Contain no grain, hay or straw storage. • Buildings containing a shop area must be rated as a Type 2B structure.

Type 2B • Better than average characteristics and maintenance. • Steel, pole or frame construction covered with composition or metal roofing and steel, metal,

frame or masonry sidewalls. • Fully enclosed structure with no open sheds attached. • Hay or straw storage is permitted.

FARM EXTRA EXPENSE Coverage can be added for the expenses incurred in order to resume or continue normal farming operations that were interrupted as the result of direct physical loss by a peril insured against to property covered under Coverages E, F, or G. The rate per $1000 of insurance is $38.78. Make an entry on the declarations page or a schedule to show the limit for the extra expense coverage in Form FO-6.

FARM MACHINERY COVERAGE - OPEN PERILS

Coverage for farm machinery can be provided for all risks of direct physical loss, with exceptions. A 100% coinsurance requirement applies to all covered property. Use the rating information shown below. If coverage applies on a scheduled basis, describe the covered property and make entries to show the limits that apply. Higher deductible credits apply to this coverage.

FARMOWNERS POLICY PROGRAM

Arkansas Preferred Farmowners (1-118-05) GR-8 CIG

• Roof Covering – The roof must be of composition, wood or tile shingles in good condition and if composition not over 15 years old. Some new metal type roofing may be acceptable, contact underwriter.

• Siding – The siding must be of masonry, brick, veneer, stone, concrete, concrete block, tile, frame, aluminum, vinyl or steel.

• Wiring – The dwelling must have a minimum of one circuit per room with the exception of the kitchen. The kitchen must have a minimum of two circuits, plus heavy-duty circuits as required for electric stoves, electric air conditioners, electric water heaters and electric clothes dryers. Wiring must meet local building codes and installed by a competent electrician.

Wood, coal, gas or oil fueled stoves are “NOT” acceptable as the primary heating plant, but may be acceptable as supplemental heat to an approved system.

Wood-Burning Heating Systems Wood-burning stoves and furnaces may be acceptable as supplemental used for auxiliary heat,

but not as a or primary heating source. They must be professionally installed and properly vented of heat must be connected to a tile lined masonry chimney constructed from the ground up and setting on its own masonry foundation or vented to a UL approved insulated or triple wall pipe. The dwelling must have an approved roof covering. A photograph of the wood-burning stove, or furnace and thimble must be submitted along with form SHQ-1, Supplemental Heating Questionnaire. •Wood-burning furnaces shall be considered as complying with central heating requirements if

professionally installed, properly vented to an approved flue and equipped with thermostatic controls, blower, and ductwork. The dwelling must have an approved roof covering. A photograph of the wood-burning furnaces and thimble must be submitted with the application.

Barns and Outbuildings See Underwriting Section for minimum amounts Type 1

• Superior characteristics and in excellent repair. • All metal construction (tanks, bins and Quonsets). • Fully enclosed and securely bolted on a continuous mortared masonry or concrete foundation. • All steel grain storage structures designed & used exclusively as bulk storage of grain. When

grain storage structures are attached by augers or spouts to an elevator leg assembly, and/or drying equipment or to one another, classify the entire structure as a grain complex and insured as one item.

Type 2A • Superior characteristics and in excellent repair. • Steel, pole or frame construction covered with metal roofing and sidewalls. • Building must be fully enclosed and have a pole or continuous concrete wall foundation. • Contain no grain, hay or straw storage. • Buildings containing a shop area must be rated as a Type 2B structure.

Type 2B • Better than average characteristics and maintenance. • Steel, pole or frame construction covered with composition or metal roofing and steel, metal,

frame or masonry sidewalls. • Fully enclosed structure with no open sheds attached. • Hay or straw storage is permitted.

FARM EXTRA EXPENSE Coverage can be added for the expenses incurred in order to resume or continue normal farming operations that were interrupted as the result of direct physical loss by a peril insured against to property covered under Coverages E, F, or G. The rate per $1000 of insurance is $38.78. Make an entry on the declarations page or a schedule to show the limit for the extra expense coverage in Form FO-6.

FARM MACHINERY COVERAGE - OPEN PERILS

Coverage for farm machinery can be provided for all risks of direct physical loss, with exceptions. A 100% coinsurance requirement applies to all covered property. Use the rating information shown below. If coverage applies on a scheduled basis, describe the covered property and make entries to show the limits that apply. Higher deductible credits apply to this coverage.

NOTE: No charge if building is unheated or if heated by permanently installed warm air

furnace, hot water or steam heating plant set on an incombustible base and venting to standard chimney and with no other type of heating device in the building.

FARMOWNERS POLICY PROGRAM

Arkansas Farmowners (1-1112-02) GR-8 CIG

• Roof Covering – The roof must be of composition, wood or tile shingles in good condition and if composition not over 15 years old. Some new metal type roofing may be acceptable, contact underwriter.

• Siding – The siding must be of masonry, brick, veneer, stone, concrete, concrete block, tile, frame, aluminum, vinyl or steel shingles.

• Wiring – The dwelling must have a minimum of one circuit per room with the exception of the kitchen. The kitchen must have a minimum of two circuits, plus heavy-duty circuits as required for electric stoves, electric air conditioners, electric water heaters and electric clothes dryers. Wiring must meet local building codes and installed by a competent electrician.

Type 2 Dwelling must be in good condition showing evidence of proper maintenance and housekeeping in every respect and meet all Type 1 requirements listed above with the exception of the following:

• Age of Dwelling – Over 40 years of age homes may be written if they have been well maintained and the roof, wiring, heating and plumbing systems have been modernized and meet today’s electrical and building codes. Do not confuse redecorating or room additions with updating of basic dwelling conditions. Comprehensive modernization is required.

• Heating Unit – Modern heating system as described in Type 1; or

Rigidly piped and permanently installed, thermostatically controlled approved gas or oil fueled ceiling or wall furnaces; or

Thermostatically controlled gas or oil fuel approved space heaters; and

Vented to a masonry-lined chimney built from the ground or to a factory made vent pipe.

Type 3 • All dwellings not eligible for Type 1 or Type 2 classifications. They must, however, meet Company

underwriting requirements.

• Gas or oil fuel approved space heaters must be vented to a masonry-lined chimney built from the ground or to a factory made vent pipe.

Wood-Burning Heating Systems Wood-burning stoves and furnaces may be acceptable as supplemental used for either auxiliary or primary source of heat, but not as a primary heating source. They must be professionally installed and properly vented must be connected to a tile lined masonry chimney constructed from the ground up and setting on its own masonry foundation or vented to a UL approved insulated or triple wall pipe. The dwelling must have an approved roof covering. A photograph of the wood-burning furnaces and thimble must be submitted along with form SHQ-1, Supplemental Heating Questionnaire. �

•Must be rated Type 3 if used as the primary source of heat.

•May be rated Type 1 or Type 2 only if used for auxiliary heat and all other Type 1 or Type 2 requirements are met.

•Wood-burning furnaces shall be considered as complying with the Type 2 heating requirements if professionally installed, properly vented to an approved flue and equipped with thermostatic controls, blower, and ductwork. The dwelling must have an approved roof covering. A photograph of the wood-burning furnaces and thimble must be submitted with the application.

FARM EXTRA EXPENSE Coverage can be added for the expenses incurred in order to resume or continue normal farming operations that were interrupted as the result of direct physical loss by a peril insured against to property covered under Coverages E, F, or G. The rate per $1000 of insurance is $38.78. Make an entry on the declarations page or a schedule to show the limit for the extra expense coverage in Form FO-6.

FARMOWNERS POLICY PROGRAM

Arkansas Farmowners (1-11) GR-8 CIG

• Roof Covering – The roof must be of composition, wood or tile shingles in good condition and if composition not over 15 years old. Some new metal type roofing may be acceptable, contact underwriter.

• Siding – The siding must be of masonry, brick, veneer, stone, concrete, concrete block, tile, frame, aluminum, vinyl or steel shingles.

• Wiring – The dwelling must have a minimum of one circuit per room with the exception of the kitchen. The kitchen must have a minimum of two circuits, plus heavy-duty circuits as required for electric stoves, electric air conditioners, electric water heaters and electric clothes dryers. Wiring must meet local building codes and installed by a competent electrician.

Type 2 Dwelling must be in good condition showing evidence of proper maintenance and housekeeping in every respect and meet all Type 1 requirements listed above with the exception of the following:

• Age of Dwelling – Over 40 years of age homes may be written if they have been well maintained and the roof, wiring, heating and plumbing systems have been modernized and meet today’s electrical and building codes. Do not confuse redecorating or room additions with updating of basic dwelling conditions. Comprehensive modernization is required.

• Heating Unit – Modern heating system as described in Type 1; or

Rigidly piped and permanently installed, thermostatically controlled approved gas or oil fueled ceiling or wall furnaces; or

Thermostatically controlled gas or oil fuel approved space heaters; and

Vented to a masonry-lined chimney built from the ground or to a factory made vent pipe.

Type 3 • All dwellings not eligible for Type 1 or Type 2 classifications. They must, however, meet

Company underwriting requirements.

• Gas or oil fuel approved space heaters must be vented to a masonry-lined chimney built from the ground or to a factory made vent pipe.

Wood-Burning Heating Systems • Wood-burning stoves and furnaces may be acceptable as supplemental auxiliary heat, but not

as a primary heating source. They must be professionally installed and properly vented to a tile lined masonry chimney constructed from the ground up and setting on its own masonry foundation, or vented to a UL approved insulated or triple wall pipe. The dwelling must have an approved roof covering. A photograph of the wood-burning stove, or furnace and thimble must be submitted along with form SHQ-1, Supplemental Heating Questionnaire.
