Mast head - the masthead is usually placed in at the

top of the magazine with the largest text as this is the

title of the magazine. This is the same on everything

magazine entry printed as its what the target audience

look too.

Image – there is usually only one main image on the

page. This will be the main focus for the audience and

will reflect the genre of the film being advertised or be a

take on the film but the actors in normal clothes, not in

character.

Anchorage text – this is the text that surrounds the main story.

Banner – this gives overall information on what more can be found in the magazine if you buy it.

The barcode, date, issue number – this is something all magazines have.

Buzz words – words like exclusive and plus entice the audience to buy the magazine as they are intrigued from being told only bits of the story.

With film magazines: The aim of film magazines are trying to sell the film through

the main front page advertising the film through the us of imagery and text.

You will be able to tell the genre of the film straight away through mise en scene or titles.

Film magazines aren't generally crowded with information like gossip magazines, they are more simple.
