With a maximum of twelve students per course this ensures our team of qualified tutors can enhance your knowledge and hone your skills in a fun and realistic working environment. During the course industry leaders will be taking classes with the students and sharing their extensive knowledge YEAR ONE qualifies you as a Professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist. You can enter the areas as a Trainee / Daily Artist on Film , Photographic and Fashion Artist , Beauty and Bridal Artist , Bodypaint Artist , Commercial Artist or Events/ Brand Artist, Specialist Camouflage Artist or Airbrush Artist . Hairdressing 1: This unit adds another element to your artistry by training you to style hair. This includes shampoo & condition I blow drying techniques I Setting I Hair Colour 1 I styling techniques I product knowledge I hair industry I client care Wig Styling: This unit instructs you on the unique skill of wig styling and maintenance. This includes blocking I application I maintenance I wig fitting I styling I hair pieces I facial hair design I continuity skills I industry knowledge I Hair Design: This unit utilises your creative flair in hair design. It includes bridal hair I high fashion & catwalk I historical styling I hair additions I hair stencils I airbrushing I red carpet and event hair I fantasy hair Career & Design: This unit covers your portfolio development , graded unit development plus client care, health and safety, business awareness , computer skills , research and development skills. Graded Unit: This is a year long project that is designed and brought to life by the student. This is then exhibited at the students end of year graduation event. On Completion of Year One you can then proceed to Year Two. (SEE FOLLOWING PAGE) NEW for 2016 YEAR TWO qualifies you as a Professional Makeup Technician and Hair Artist. You can enter the areas as a Trainee SFX artist on Film , Trainee in an Effects Workshop , Mask Maker , Mould Maker , Wig and Hair Stylist or SFX Sculptor. You will receive an internationally recognized Diploma plus a comprehensive portfolio. This qualifies you as a Professional Makeup and Hair Specialist with a level 6 qualification on the Irish Education Framework. WHAT WILL I LEARN? YEAR ONE Skin & Corrective: This unit develops all the necessary underlying knowledge an artist must have to succeed. It includes skincare I anatomy and physiology I camouflage & corrective makeup I product knowledge I tools and techniques I health & safety I client care Fashion & Beauty: This unit instructs in creating on trend makeup looks that incorporate the fashion and beauty world. Each student will produce work related to

their field of interest in the industry.

WHAT ELSE WILL I NEED?

Students must provide: Mascara , Falselashes , Gel/liquid Liner , Lash Glue, SmallScissors , Tweezers , Pencil Sharpenerand a Black/Navy Hand towel , RingBinder, Notebook and Sketchbook.

You will also take part in 6 professionalphoto shoots throughout the course andreceive 12 Portfolio Images from these.You may need to provide models onoccasion.You will need access to acomputer , internet and a printerthroughout the course. To complete yourGraded Unit and Portfolio you will berequired to print images and other forms ofevidence.All other equipment and productswill be provided for you by the college.
