Filming and editing equipment we are going
to use when creating our music video
Pentax SLR cameraWe have chosen to use the Pentax SLR camera to record our music video. The reason for choosing
this is because when looking at existing music videos we liked the idea of being able to change the depth of field enabling us to create a main
focal point.
It is also very easy to use especially as I am a photography student and have previously used an SLR camera. It is quite compact which will make it is to carry and the high quality of the
camera will make our footage look more professional rather than ammeter.
We took influence of depth of field from B.O.Bs ‘both of us’ music video.
Dolly
Tripod
We have decided we want to experiment with using a dolly. This will allow us to track around the actors
and performers, making our camera movement more interesting. We were especially inspired to
use a dolly after watching ‘Read all about it’s music video as we realised how effective tracking around
a artist was rather than just staying still.
We will always be using a tripod when filming. It is very important to use a tripod when filming as it will make our footage completely still and stable rather
than shaky and ammeter, so by using it we our straight away increasing the quality of our music
video.
Editing computer and Premier Pro
This is the computer we will be keeping and editing our footage on.
We will be using the programme Adobe Premier Pro to edit our footage into a
finished music video. From using it last year in our AS production we are all familiar with
it and know it has all the features we need to create our video.
