I have took a few picures on dolls at the shepherd bush market, I found the idea of

selling vintage dolls appealed to me , becuase its kind of hard to find this type of

vintage doll on the maintream market in this recent year

However, as far as I concerned, gathering and comparing every dolls from different

period and times, there is one thing I can tell, that they are all stereotypically remain

the same. Over all, the looks and the fuction are invariable to me

Dolls are girl's best friend, they look adorable and make poeple want to adore

them, embrace them and take care of them. Howerver, its human nature to

take care of others, its plausible that people are likely to take control of them

by giving them the character that we want them to be

The paper doll could be a good example

GIRL'S IDEAL As we could create the identity for doll based on our vision

of gender and understantding of stereotype, on the other way round it could be argued that girls are judging their beauty by looking like a doll, this has alot to do with the

intertextuality of films and music Doll is the ideal for girls

Girls craze at good body figure. Big eyes, long blond hair and

small waiste , these are what they think they should look like. Dolls

encourage PERFECTION,but they dont represent enough

This could be where IMPERFECTION come across

GLITCH: Designing imperfection

I love the fragmentation that they presented in their work

Imperfection can be applied anywhere, not just physically or mentally

It could intensely affect our mind

Osama Harvilahti and Rafael Martiniez, both talented photographer,

their work has inspired me on my final visual research

I love the element and the style in these photos, I feel like everything

in the photo just happened naturally. Its soft and tangible

Story board: a girl who is unhappy with

herself, as she has no incentive, hope or

anxiety in her life, she decided to rely

on religion to ask god for help. In her

dream she is a pretty doll living life with

no regret and everything seems lively. She

feels like she was in her childhood but at

the same time this utopia world doesnt

seems real to her, because everything

around her seems so perfect

When she wake up, and back to reality,

imperfection takes place, she realised

imperfection is herself, and this make her

individual
