Final Project:Create a Research Poster for a Sacred Space of Your Own Invention
Due Date: Saturday, December 15 at 1:30 pm
All posters will be presented in class to the class.
What is a research poster?
A poster (rather than a paper) is an alternative method of presenting information at professional conferences
A poster needs to be: Informative Well researched Well organized – presents information visually No spelling/grammatical errors Nicely designed to be visually appealing

Introduction: states the purpose and nature of your project (10 pts)
Theoretic foundation – what is a sacred space? What types of sacred spaces are there, and how does yours fit into this framework of liminal space? (15 pts)
Background information – what are the social, historical, and religious contexts of your sacred space? (15 pts)
Specifics of your sacred space (25 pts):
Plan Photos Drawings Art works
Conclusion – what do we learn from your sacred space? Why is it significant? (10 pts)
Bibliography/Further Reading – this includes web info for all images (10 pts)
Spelling/grammatical errors: 1 point off for each
