Dear Joan, I am writing to you on behalf of Wellspring Living. I became involved with Wellspring Living after attending the Passion Conference in Atlanta, GA, in January 2012. My heart was moved by the testimonies of five young women and children who had once been involved in sex trafficking and who are now living stable lives thanks to the support of Wellspring Living. Since then, I have joined Wellspring Living’s Team and am working closely with the clients in the Wellspring Living for Girls program. Last week we were with a young woman who was just completing her eighth month of living in the secured housing of Wellspring Living. We were helping her unload groceries in her apartment when she turned to me with a big smile and said, “Since my stay here, it is the first time I have ever been able to come home and sit down to a nice meal without fear. In the past I was lucky to even eat. I was always ‘on call’ so I never felt settled. I just wanted to thank you for providing me with this opportunity to have a place to call home.” So many people take this for granted and I know that you of all people know how these girls feel. Working with Project Safe I am sure that you have seen the women who have been mistreated, battered, and emotionally broken down. You know the importance of giving them their life back and helping them to feel secure. Wellspring Living’s mission is to help minors who are victims of human sex trafficking in the United States and young adult women who have been victimized to develop the courage to move forward and the confidence to succeed. Wellspring Living plans on completing this mission step-by-step through programs such as the Assessment Center, Wellspring Living for Girls, and the Empowered Living Program. Dear Joan,

I am writing to you on behalf of Wellspring Living.

By clicking on the following link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGgDj-xZJ7o, you will be able to hear the testimony of a girl who has been affected by our services. Let me direct your attention also to the attached flyer which expounds on the seriousness of this issue.

Wellspring Living for Girls is an 11-13 month program for girls ages 12-17 that securely houses and serves survivors of DMST (domestic minor sex trafficking) with a focus on trauma therapy, education, life skills, and confidence. The Assessment Center program is for women ages 18-25 and is designed to provide crisis stabilization for survivors of sex trafficking, which includes assessing safety and stability and providing tools to help each survivor make wise choices. Wellspring Living’s third program, Empowered Living, is an 11-13 month residential program for women ages 18-25 who are survivors of DMST, that offers continued education, therapy, and life skills training to help the women build independence.

Wellspring Living believes that through its support of these women, it is possible for them to move forward and become educated, independent, active members of society. We can accomplish this mission through the support of individuals like you who have a passion for our mission and know the impact we create for these girls and young women. I would love for you to

join me in partnering with Wellspring Living by giving a monetary donation. While any amount helps, we have giving tiers for certain donation amounts so that you can see what your gift would be providing: $100 provides educational opportunities for a girl; $500 provides transportation to appointments for a girl; $1,000 provides coverage for medical prescription needs; and $2,500 provides therapeutic services.

Once you have had time to think it over, if you have a desire to help these young women gain their life back, your donation can be made online at our website https://wellspringliving.org/ or by mail with checks made payable to Wellspring Living at 860 Johnson Ferry Rd., Ste. 140-331 Atlanta, GA 30342. Each and every donation helps Wellspring Living change the lives of adolescent girls and young women in need.

I would like to thank you personally for considering Wellspring Living as an organization worthy of your donation. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
