Good evening and welcome to tonight’s Finale Concert featuring

our members of the Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony. It has

been my distinct pleasure to work with our aspiring young musicians

each day to support them in creating beautiful music. We are excited

to musically share our talents with you this evening as our friends,

family and community. As you will see tonight, the intrinsic value of

music offers every individual the chance to experience the pleasure of

self-expression and self-discovery at the highest level. The mental

stimulation of wonder and imagination is a highly intellectual activity

and is sure to bring joy to your soul.

We are all invested in the goals ahead. As parents, you have played

an integral role in every stage of your child’s musical growth. You

have sacrificed time, revenue, and an immeasurable amount of support

in the development of your child’s music education here at Lincoln

Park Academy. Reaching excellence in any endeavor requires positive

self-discipline, personal sacrifice, and a support group of caring

individuals who continue to serve as inspiration.

This has been an extremely exciting year of success! Collectively,

the members of the Wind Symphony earned 136 superior ratings at

Solo & Ensemble Festival, received gold medals in every category at

the Worldstrides Heritage Festival in New York City, advanced to the

State Music Performance Assessment and participated in numerous

performances in our community. We wish the Wind Ensemble their

best skill as they represent St. Lucie Public Schools at the State Music

Performance Assessment at Vero Beach High School on Friday, April

29th. Once again, thank you and we hope you enjoy this evening’s

finale performance. Your inclusion in our band family is much

appreciated.
