Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the
glory of God. 1Co 10:31
Theme
Draw near to God
and you will
discover and complete
His fulfilling purpose
for your life.
Ecclesiastes: “I have tried everything under the sun and
what have I discovered?
There is a failure to adequately think,
share, meditate, and pursue wisdom.
This leads to key things not being
answered.
There is a deep personal insecurity,
loneliness and a growing selfishness.
Life seems dull, dreary, tedious, boring,
meaningless, empty, and routine.

CAUTION
If you aim at DOING God’s purpose for your life, you will FIND God’s purpose.
If you aim at JUST FINDING IT, you may NEVER actually do it.
Decide: Find Your Personal Purpose or Do Your Personal Purpose
1. God has an ACTION-PURPOSEin mind for each of us.
7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of
love and of self-discipline.
8 So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of
me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the
power of God,
9 who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of
anything we have done but because of his own purpose and
grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning
of time,
10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our
Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life
and immortality to light through the gospel. 2Timothy 1:7-10
2. God’s action-purpose for us includes EVERY LIFE, EVERY PART OF LIFE and EVERY DAY OF LIFE.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you
do, do it all for the glory of God. 1Co 10:31
Live such good lives among the pagans that,
though they accuse you of doing wrong,
they may see your good deeds and glorify
God on the day he visits us. 1Pe 2:12
3. God is CONSTANTLY PREPARING us for our doing our purpose.
[I am] confident of this, that he who began a good
work in you will carry it on to completion until the
day of Christ Jesus. Phil. 1: 6
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in
advance for us to do. Eph. 2:10
4. Sin GETS IN THE WAY of us actually doing our purpose – deal with it.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you
obey its evil desires. Romans 6:12
No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who
continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 1Jo 3:6
In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver,
but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and
some for ignoble.
If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an
instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the
Master and prepared to do any good work. 2Tim. 2:20,21
5a. God has ALREADY GIVEN US everything we need to fulfill our purpose
– we just need to use them.
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the
knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and
godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his
own glory and goodness.
Through these he has given us his very great and precious
promises, so that through them you may participate in the
divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused
by evil desires. 2Peter 1:2-4

all his benefits--
3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your
diseases,

crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.
