Welcome to Week 6! The students thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the town library on Friday to meet Author, Michael Salmon. FPS received positive feedback that student behaviour was impeccable- well done! Congratulations to the following students who will be heading to Sydney next term to represent FPS at state athletics, Lucy-Jayne Burdon in high jump and Allan Gardiner in discus. This week we are looking forward to the pet ownership sessions on Tuesday. On Wednesday we are having a presenter speak to us about the upcoming Jump Rope for Heart. Please remember that under no circumstance is it ok to approach and confront another person’s child at school. If you have any concerns with regards to a student you must contact the school to work through the matter. I encourage everyone to ‘like’ our Finley Public School page on Facebook. We love sharing all the fun and exciting things we’ve been getting up to here at Finley Public School and this will also enable you to have access to frequent updates and important school information. Author visit Michael Salmon
The Michael Salmon visit to the Finley Public Library was thoroughly enjoyed by all children. The students were entertained by his stories, caricatures and ideas for his published books. Thank you to Ann Nevins for inviting our students to this memorable experience. Cherilyn Taig.

The Finley Show is coming up on Sunday the 7th of September.
Your children at FPS enter various pieces (pictures/writing) for display in the how Pavilion.
Setting up these exhibits can be a time consuming job.
The show society have requested parents from FPS to assist with this task.
If you can come to the show pavilion on Friday 5th Sept at 1.30pm it would be greatly appreciated.
