Fire Fighting Installation System

Fixed fire fighting systems are highly desirableand effective, as they are immediately

available and will normally have been designed tomeet the particular risk in the

Sprinkler Efficacy

Concerned with whether the system will activate

Sprinkler Reliability

The reliability of sprinkler system depends

very much on how it is managed with respect

to modifications taking place within the

building.

Photoelectric Smoke Detector Operation

Smoke produced by a fire affects the intensity

of a light beam passing through air. The smoke

can block or obscure the beam. It can also

cause the light to scatter due to reflection off

the smoke particles. Photoelectric smoke

detectors are designed to sense smoke by

utilizing these effects of smoke on light.

Photoelectric Smoke Detector Operation

A light source and light sensor are arranged so that the raysfrom the light source do not hit the light sensor.

When smoke particles enter the light path, some of the

light is scattered and redirected onto the sensor, causing

the detector to activate an alarm.

These detectors react quickly to visible smoke particles

from smoldering fires, but are less sensitive to the smaller

particles associated with flaming or very hot fires.

Photoelectric Detectors characteristic

Photoelectric detectors are as effective as

ionization detectors in sensing smoke.

Photoelectric detectors respond more qu

icklyto all fires.

Photoelectric detectors are more expensive

than ionization units but the latter provides a

level of built-in security not found in

photoelectric detectors.

Benefit of photoelectric detectors

system

Faster and easier installation.

Secure protection of alarms prior to commissioning.

Faster and easier installation in any scenario.

Faster and easier installation.

Fewer mistakes in sizing and positioning of cable hole.

Faster and easier termination.

Less scope for termination errors.

A simpler and more cost effective surface mount option.

Minimises visual impact and enhances householdersatisfaction.

Early warning can save lives.
