Advanced Officer Training “Beyond the Basic”

Course Description:
The course is designed for sworn law enforcement personnel seeking to learn advanced tactics utilizing a shotgun weapon system. Basic firearms safety and skills are reviewed but the course focuses on low-light tactics, positional shooting, shooting on the move, the use of cover, accuracy, and tactical shotgun manipulation.
Course Location: Frank Bland Regional Training Center – Range Classroom E 18901 Institution Road. San Bernardino, CA 92407
Required Equipment:
• Agency approved shotgun.
• Duty handgun with duty belt; Three handgun magazines, and at least 100 rounds of factory handgun ammunition
• 200 rounds of 00 buckshot and 50 rounds of slug
• Weapon mounted light or handheld flashlight
• Cleaning equipment for both weapons; Body armor
• Wrap around eye protection; Hearing protection; BDU style uniform; Knee/elbow pads are recommended (No Red Clothing)
** Factory Ammunition Only – No reloads will be allowed on the Range**
