Firmware upgrade guide

Point of View TV-HDMI-KB-01

Preparation notice:

- Be sure to shut down and save your in background running processes.

- Temporary disable your antivirus program on pc before updating your tablet.

- Unpack your downloaded update file.

- USB A male > Micro USB B male cable is required

- USB Mouse or Wireless Keyboard for navigating

-Connect HDMI Dongle to your TV

-Connect USB Mouse / Wireless Keyboard USB dongle into the HDMI Dongle.

-Connect the USB cable to your PC/Laptop and the other end into the micro usb slot of the HDMI Dongle.

-NOTE: FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY AS WRITTEN BELOW IF NOT PROPERLY FOLLOWED MAY PERMANTLY

DURING UPDATE PROCESS DO NOT DISRUPT/ DISCONNECT THE CABLE FROM ITS POWERSOUCE (PC)

-Navigate to Settings

-Go to Advance Setting

-Check in Device Tab if the USB computer connections is set to => Mass Storage

-Go to System and press on USB settings so it says Connected to Computer

-In windows you will see that the internal storage pop up.(you can close this)

-Go back to the extracted folder and double click RKBatchTool.exe

-Browse in the Firmware folder for the for the update firmware which has XXX.img => after selecting this it will be

displayed in the FW Path:

-Now Press Switch => Screen of the TV will now go Black.(Do not panic this is normal)

-Now in Windows go to Computer and right click on it and select Manage

- In the new opened window Computer Management select Device Manager

- Now right click on the unknown device and select Update Driver Software…

-Manually search driver by selecting Browse my computer for driver software.

-Go to the location where you have unpacked the update folder

-Browse to the directory where you placed the folders, this should be similar to:

C:\TV-HDMI-KB-01\Driver\x86 (32-bit systems) or x64 (for 64-bit systems) \ xp

\ 2000

\ vista

\ win7

Note: Please choose the correct folder for your operating system

-Press Next

-When windows asks if you want to install the device software select install/Install this driver anyway

-When successful, close the window.

Note: The driver installation only need to be done if this is the first time you update your tablet firmware. If you

already have done an update in the past the driver is already installed then you can skip this part and continue

updating directly.

-Connected Devices 1 must be Green

-Now press Restore (2)

-The following screen will appear during the upgrade process.

-after the update is finished you will see the following

Note: DO NOT DISCONNECT USB CABLES FROM THE DEVICES YET !!! WAIT UNTILL YOU SEE THE LANGUAGE SELECTION

AND FINALIZE SETUP FIRST BEFORE DISCONNECTING!!

Your HDMI Dongle is now rebooting and finalizing the upgrade process.

Note :First time after booting a upgrade will take longer to start up the setup so be patient and do not disrupt this

process !!
