FIRST AID ROOM EQUIPMENTDoes your workplace require a First Aid room?A First Aid room is recommended for:• Low-risk workplaces with 200 employees or more • High-risk workplaces with 100 employees or more
Risk Factors • Workplace First Aid requirements will vary according to the nature of work conducted, size of the workforce, geographic location and the types of hazards encountered.• Add-on packs that are frequently required for First Aid kits are those dealing with bites and stings, eye injuries, burn injuries and hazards associated with remote workplaces.
First Aid FacilitiesThe contents of your First Aid room need to suit the hazards that are speci�c to your workplace. • The location and size of the room should allow easy access and movement of injured people. • A person with a current occupational First Aid quali�cation (or higher) needs to be responsible for the room and its contents.
