VENUEPadua is a city 40 km west of Venice. It is the economic andcommunications hub of north-east Italy. Padua's populationis 213,000 (Statistics of 2009). Padua is famous for itsUniversity founded in 1222. The list of professors and alumniof the university of Padua includes, among others, GalileoGalilei, Nicolaus Copernicus, Gabriele Falloppio, PietroBembo, Torquato Tasso. The place of Padua in the historyof art is nearly as important as its place in the history oflearning. The list of distinguished artists operating in Paduaincludes, among others, Giotto, Donatello, AndreaMantegna, Antonio Canova. Padua is also the birth place ofthe famous architect Andrea Palladio. Padua includes severalhistorical and artistic sites, such as, the Basilica of SaintAnthony, Scrovegni Chappel, Church of Eremitani, Palazzodella Ragione and several Museums and Galleries. Theconference will be held at Villa Ottoboni Convention Centre,a 16th century villa near the centre of Padua. In April thetemperature in Padua ranges between 12 and 22°C (53 and72°F).
AccommodationThe Organizing Committee will select a few hotels in Padua,near Villa Ottoboni Convention Centre, willing to apply specialrates for Conferences participants. Courtesy buses will bearranged from these hotels to the Conferences venue.Further information will be posted in the Conferences officialweb-site.
Travel and TrasportationBy plane: The airports nearest to Padua are Venice MarcoPolo (40 km from Padua) and Verona Catullo (80 km fromPadua); both airports are served by many frequentinternational flights.By train: Padua station is on the main Milan-Venice railwaylink, served by numerous international trains. Intercity andEurostar trains stop at Padua.By car: Padua is on the A4 (Milan-Venice) motorway, whichis linked to the European motorway network.

Sources/Sinks alternative to the outside Air for HeatPumps and Air-Conditioning Techniques(Alternative Sources - AS) Commission E1 with Commission E2The Conference provides a forum for presenting the researchand dissemination activities in possible utilisation ofsources/sinks alternative to the outside air for heat pumpsand air-conditioning. This Conference will also promote theexchange of ideas and experiences among the researchers,scientists and engineers working on heat pumping and airconditioning from all over the world.

ThisConference will also promote the exchange of ideas and ex-periences among the researchers, scientists and engineersworking on Sorption Heat Pumps Technology from all overthe world.

LANGUAGESThe sessions will be conducted in English.Papers must be presented in English.
DEADLINES
SEPTEMBER 30, 2010.Abstract (maximum 500 words) with the indication ofcorresponding author (full postal and e-mail addresses) mustbe e-mailed as an attached doc file to the Scientific Conference Secretariat:[email protected].
The abstract should clearly state the objectives, methods,results and conclusions.
OCTOBER 31, 2010.The corresponding author will be notified about acceptanceof the abstract.
DECEMBER 31, 2010.The full paper manuscript (maximum 8 pages) must be e-mailed as attached files in doc and pdf format to theScientific Conference Secretariat:[email protected].
The full paper manuscript must be adherent to the instructionsposted in the Conference web-site.
JANUARY 31, 2011.The corresponding author will be notified about acceptanceof the paper for presentation at the Conference.

REGISTRATION FEESParticipants may register for either one of the twoConferences (Alternative Sources, AS or ISHPC) or jointly forthe two Conferences (AS+ISHPC). The registration feeincludes the Conferences Proceedings, coffee breaks,business lunches and official social events. Accompanyingpersons may register at a fee of € 180 (€ 240 after March31, 2011), which includes official social events and adedicated program.Fees paid in advance but not used will be refunded, with adeduction of € 60 for handling costs, upon written requestif received before March 31, 2011. No refund will be givenfor fees supporting papers included in the final program.
