The PSE index gained 6.74 points (+0.13%) to finish at 5,263.35, lifted by gains in SM, AEV, AC, EDC, MPI. Market breadth was negative as decliners outnumbered losers, 85 to 64, while 49 issues were unchanged. Market value turnover was at P4.70B. Foreigners were NET SELLERS by P353.98M. Wall Street rallied for a sixth straight session on Friday on hopes for further policy accommodations. On the local side, the domestic market might experience a downward pressure on the back of weaker-than-expected Japanese 2Q GDP growth at 1.4% vs. estimates of 2.3%, prior reading was at 4.7%. Meanwhile, positive trading catalyst for the week would still be the 2Q corporate earnings results. GS Commentary: Last Friday, posted yields rose by 2-4bps on the long-end as players trimmed positions ahead of the 25-year auction this week.
