As a member of the Dells STP 2016, by God’s grace, I commit to:

attention of the primary party

5. Speaking well of my fellow STP participants

6. Forgiving and asking for forgiveness

7. Overlooking minor offenses

8. Holding others accountable to these commitments and allowing others to hold me accountable

1. Will you commit to our beginning and ending dates? If so, initial here:

Team Members are to arrive in the Wisconsin Dells on Tuesday May 30th between 10am-12pm

All program participants should plan to leave Monday, August 2nd after 6:00pm.

If you have any challenges with these dates please let me know so we can try to work something out.

2. Will you commit to staying for the entire program without leaving? If so, initial here:

Everyone is expected to stay at the program throughout the summer unless there is a family

emergency, a health need, or a wedding that you are IN. Please email me and let me know of any

situations, you are currently aware of, that will cause you to be gone from the program.

3. Are you willing to commit to the Program Policies? If so, initial here:

This will be an intense summer of discipleship, studying the Bible and spiritual growth. We

plan on having lots of fun together and making new friendships, but want you to know that this is not a

carefree, easy summer hanging out at the water parks. Failure to abide by the previously listed guidelines

may be grounds for dismissal from the training program.

We are excited for you and for your decision to spend a summer training yourself in godliness. We will be

praying that this will be a rewarding and blessed experience. See you in the Dells!

In Christ,

David Teten

POLICIES OF MORAL STANDARD

1. APPEARANCE AND DRESS: In wisdom and care, honor the Lord and others with your appearance.

1.1. Women, don’t bring and wear halter-tops or spaghetti-strap tops. Tank tops and sleeveless shirts

are fine. Please wear modest swimsuits.

1.2. Men, don’t bring speedos for swimming and keep your shirts on when you are in the hotel and

dorm common areas.

2. LIVING PEACEABLY: Since you will be living and working alongside new friends this summer, and

because we have a very real enemy who is seeking to ruin what good God will bring from the STP, we

have set some policies in place to aid you in adjusting well to your homes and job situations.

2.1. No men in women’s dorms, hotel rooms, or apartments – and vice versa. However, we implore you

to hang out together in courtyards and common areas and to go on group dates. Being intentional

at forming friendships with members of teams other than your own will serve to make your STP

even better.

2.2. Follow all policies set for your hotel and your job as prescribed by your supervisor or landlord.

Respect the authority of those to whom it has been given – your employers, housing overseers, and

STP staff.

2.3. Team members will work a 40-hour/week job, while team leaders will work a 24-hour/week job.

2.4. Keep your job and work hard all summer, even if you don’t enjoy it. We have assured the

employers that our participants will be good workers. Remember, you are not merely representing

yourself or the Navs, but Christ Himself.

2.5. Maintain a clean and orderly living area (beds made, clothes put away, regular cleaning, etc.).

2.6. Help with travel and fuel expenses when carpooling to work or other events.

2.7. Be considerate of others at all times – your roommates, teammates, coworkers, and neighbors.

Keep quiet hours, do favors to serve one another, be quick to ask for forgiveness and to forgive.

POLICIES ON COMMITMENT TO CHRISTIAN DEVELOPMENT

1. ATTENDANCE: All program activities are required functions and must be attended on time and in full.

The weekly schedule reflects required functions.

1.1. No leaving the program before it is officially over. Exceptions must be discussed with and

approved by the STP director.

1.2. No skipping STP functions and events. The STP director must be informed of and approve all

exceptions.

2. SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT: You are here to grow, so we ask that you take the commitment to spiritual

development seriously. This will bring more true joy to your STP experience than any other source.

2.1. Study the Bible, both on your own and as assigned by the STP curriculum.

2.2. Memorize Bible verses, and use them to fuel you in your work, outreach, and living relationships.

2.3. Pray often, both in your alone time with God and with other STP attendees. Pray to praise God and

for Him to provide for yourself and others.

2.4. Be intentional in reaching out to your coworkers and neighbors, though do so with gentleness and

respect. They may never hear truth or see the gospel lived out from another believer.

2.5. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.

2.6. Love your neighbor as yourself.
