Hotel Information

Our room block runs Wednesday, September 9 through Saturday, September 12 with the option of staying 3 days pre or post (based on hotel availability). Reservations can be made by following the link on our website’s home page. www.ccacu.com. Please note: the Flamingo charges $10 plus tax for call in reservations.

Dress

Dress is business casual throughout the conference. Meeting rooms can get chilly and take up to 30 minutes to warm up so a light sweater or jacket is recommend-ed.

Cancellation Policy

25% of registration fee per registrant will be refunded if cancellation is received before August 9. Absolutely no refunds will be given after August 9 due to prepaid costs however, substitutions can be made.

Transportation

McCarren International Airport (LAS) is located 7 miles from the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

There are several options for transportation listed on the following website:

Uber and Lyft are options as well.

Please note that if you are renting a car, the Flamingo

CCACU Giving Back Children’s Miracle Network

Luncheon and Raffle Friday, September 11, 2020

The Children’s Miracle Network partners with hospitals across North America to provide compassionate care to children and their families. A premier event of our conference is a fundraiser to help CMN in its mission to touch the lives of children and their families. Since forging its relationship with CMN, CCACU has raised over $100,000 in support of this important effort. To-gether, through cash donations, we can meet our 2020 donation goal of $5,000. A small portion of the donat-ed amount is used to purchase items that are raffled off at our CMN Luncheon. Raffle tickets are SOLD to any-one who would like a chance to win one of the terrific prizes. We will also have our popular “Share the Pot” raffle.

Brian Day, PSCU Brian is a Solutions Consultant for PSCU, the nation’s premier payments CUSO. In his role, Brian is responsible for working with PSCU Owner credit unions to understand industry trends and identify product solutions to help credit unions grow, compete and improve members’ financial lives. Dan Mahalak, President, Mahalak Consulting Co. Dan spent most of his career at Cindrich, Mahalak & Co., a CPA firm that specialized in working with credit unions and their subsidiaries. He joined that firm in 1980 upon graduating from Eastern Michigan University, became a partner in 1988, and managing partner in 2006. In 2018 he determined that the best future for his clients and staff was to become part of a larger firm and transitioned his audit and compliance practice into that of Doeren Mayhew. He continues to work with credit unions in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, asset-liability management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory consulting, human resources consulting, and a variety of other consulting projects. Carissa Upshir, Principal Contact Center Strategic Initiatives, PSCU

Carissa leads the strategic initiatives for PSCU’s Contact Center Services and Solutions. Her role within the Contact Center focuses on digital transformation and future-proofing operations. Since joining PSCU in 2013, Carissa has been instrumental in projects that take advantage of technology to continu-ally to enhance the member and agent experience. Carissa is credited with launching the first attended bot in the contact center which increased agent productivity and reduced password management pain points. In her role Carissa explores new ways to integrate technology seamlessly into the member and agent experience with an emphasis on service scalability, ease of use and valuable data insights.
