FLEA FACTS Fleas are the #1 cause of allergies in dogs and cats. Symptoms of flea allergy dermatitis include:• Raised, itchy bumps on skin• Hair loss• Raw, red or bleeding areas on the body• Constant grooming, itching or chewing
Female fleas can lay more than 500 eggs in a lifetime.
Fleas can cause many diseases and health issues including:• Plague• Cat Scratch Disease• Tapeworms• Anemia
How to protect your pets: • Talk with us about a preventive plan to
give your pets year-round protection.• Wash your pet’s bedding in hot, soapy
water every 1-2 weeks.• Vacuum at least weekly. • Keep grass cut short and remove
weeds & leaf debris from your yard. • Brush and check your pets for fleas
and ticks every time they’ve been outside.
