History:
• Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996
• Assembly Bill 1542• In 1998, the FFM was implemented
statewide.

Data Sources:
• California Department of Justice (DOJ)• County Social Services Agencies / Special
Investigations Units

Criteria:
The FFM uses recipients Social Security Number (SSN) from DOJ. Records where the SSN does not match will be matched on the name, any alias/also known as (a.k.a.) as reported on the DOJ file, date of birth, and sex.

Tolerance Level:
FFM does not provide tolerance levels for CalWORKs and CalFresh. Counties will receive FFM information for each case that has a match.

Frequency:
The match is sent monthly.

Method:
Secure File Transfer (SFT) electronic format OR
Golden State Overnight (GSO) courierA receipt of acknowledgement
(included in the package) for paper delivery is required to be faxed back to CDSS

Age of Data:
This information is current upon receipt by the County.
