protecting sensitive goods in transit from vibration, filling

voids, and blocking and bracing products in the carton.

The extensive range accommodates a whole host of

applications with the product lines AIRplus® and AIRmove®.

Our air pillow systems produce cushioning on-demand

directly at the packing station – as individual machines for

smaller requirements or as an integrated part of an existing

packaging process.

This saves valuable storage space and perfectly adapts

Storopack’s FOAMplus® foam packaging is a high- quality

protective packaging solution that adapts to the contours

of the product and protects your goods against possible

transit damage due to impact shock and vibration. Whether

they’re heavy, fragile or unusual shapes FOAMplus® offers

the protection required for your product. Made from

expanded polyurethane, the high-quality packaging foam

is resistant, robust and thanks to it being light weight,

reduces transport costs.

With the FOAMplus® Bag Packer² and Hand Packer² foam

dispensing systems, protective foam packaging can be

produced directly at the packing station and placed

into the carton. As the foam expands it moulds to the

contours of the product and encapsulates it in a highly

versatile packaging medium. FOAMplus® is available

in a range of strengths to suit a product’s weight and

fragility. FOAMplus®, polyurethane foam packaging is

an ‘on demand’ packaging solution that, when the two

components mix together, will expand up to 250 times

their liquid volume negating the necessity for large

storage area’s required for pre-fabricated packaging.

Storopack’s Loose Fill offers safe, efficient, and versatile

all-around protection for your shipping goods. It fills voids,

effectively blocks and braces products inside the carton,

and is exceptionally resistant to shocks and high pressure.

Storopack customers can choose between packaging chips

made from temperature and water-resistance EPS and

from fully compostable plant starch.

All Loose Fill products are reusable, antistatic, pourable, and

therefore ideal for automated packaging lines. Storopack

has been producing Loose Fill itself since 1973 as one of the

first suppliers in Europe.

Mail-order pharmacies deliver medication quickly and

directly to customers’ homes. One such company is

BS Apotheken OHG, based in the Lower Saxony town of

Bad Laer in Germany. BS Apotheken OHG required an

efficient protective packaging solution to enable it to

dispatch orders of medical and cosmetic products to a

total of around 1.6 million customers. In conjunction

with BS Apotheken OHG and the external operator

of the logistics center, arvato, Storopack developed

an individual solution: PAPERplus® Chevron padding

is produced fully automatically and the machine is

integrated by means of a driven roller conveyor system.

When paper padding is required to secure a packaged

product firmly in place, PAPERplus® Chevron produces it

directly in the box. The box is then sealed and labelled.

With the fully automated packaging line the packages

are quickly ready for shipping and the medical and

cosmetic products are perfectly padded and secured in

place within the box. Packaging performance is between

10 and 12 boxes per minute. Thanks to full automation

the packaging process runs continuously without any

breaks, allowing approximately 10,000 boxes to leave the

logistics center daily.

The company Esterline Connection Technologies –

SOURIAU – SUNBANK in France designs, manufactures

and markets interconnection solutions for severe

environments. With an integrated distribution line

consisting of four height-adjustable SMARTline packing

stations and a strapping machine a maximum of 700

packages a day are shipped. The packaging material –

AIRplus® Void air pillows – is stored in a central silo that

makes it easily accessible for all packers.“

An efficient packaging process and perfectly protected

products – those were the requirements of a leading

provider of workshop supplies, assembly and fastening

products for trade and industry. The wide range of products

and therefore also the contents of individual shipments

handled by the major retailer meant that it was possible for

fragile items and heavy items to be packed together in the

same box. So products had their own packaging protection

requirements when it came to holding them in place and

securing them in the box.

FOAMplus® foam padding in the form of foam-filled

bags meets the requirements perfectly. The bags block

and brace all the items in the package and also provide

optimum padding for heavy products and increase the

compression strength of the box. 15 Bag Packer² fill the

bags quickly and cleanly, simply at the press of a button.

The US company Replacements, Ltd. is the right choice

for everyone who is interested in vintage and current

tableware, silver, collectibles and estate jewelry.

The retailer based in the US specializes in the sale of

delicate products – needless to say, they require a reliable

protective packaging solution. This is why Replacements

uses Storopack’s RENATURE® loose fill to protect its

packages. It is integrated into the company’s logistics via

silos and packing stations. In 2018 the company decided

to expand their capacities in packaging logistics.

The department has been equipped with two additional

silos, 12 new dosing containers, and 24 additional drops.
