Like many large, global corporations, the EGGER Group uses SAP software to create an efcient and error-free proc ess for conduct ing business. More than 2000 employees of EGGER Group use SAP modules, including ERP, HR, BW, CRM, XI and SolutionManager. In addition to its daily use of the software, EGGER must maintain and optimize its SAP processes, a responsibility entrusted to t he Computing Center in Tyro l. Previously, CC tracked SAP license usage by manually sorting through Excel les created from data exported from SAP tables – an error- prone and complicated process. Then, CC had to change user master data regarding license types. The entire process took four days to complete. The EGGER Group needed faster, easier ways to see an over view of licenses at any time, guarantee the proper number of licenses relative to users, and conrm t hat employees use licenses as intended. In addition, CC wanted to reduce the t ime and resources requir ed for license measurement.
