DESCRIPTION
Francis Lewis High School | ISSUE 2 | JUNE 2014
Citation preview
Hey Key Clubbers! I’d like to intro-
duce myself as your new editor,
Cynthia! Through personal
experience, I’d just like to say that
all the events that had occurred in
June had been one of the most
enjoyable ones.
June has been such an exciting
month for those of you who had
followed through with the events.
This newsletter will outline most of
what had happened in June and
what will also be in store for the
future.
Fellow key clubbers, I hope to keep
seeing you at events and meetings!
I will work hard to work as your edi-
tor~
Your editor, Cynthia Seo
+ Member of
the Month!
Shelley Chung may be a quiet individual when you first see her.
But, the more involved she gets in Key Club, whether it's attend-
ing our weekly meetings and events, the more you get to know
about her and see her nearly unmatched energy when it comes
to showing Key Club spirit. She even helped out at our Freshman
Orientation to spread the word about Key Club, when she's only
just finished freshman year at Francis Lewis. She's definitely some-
body interested in Key Club and has the power to inspire others
to make a change not only in our club, but in our community as
well. Key Club is glad to have a member like Shelley.

About the Events
Color Run: The Color Run is a 5K paint race, where you wear white at the starting line
and finish the race covered in all sorts of colors. After, there is a "Finish Festival” with
music, dancing, and even more color throws! What we'll be doing is volunteering and
throwing the paints, which was really fun as you can see in the photos in our gallery
and newsletter! You can also attend the "Finish Festival" even if you're a volunteer.
Many freebies including a volunteer T-shirt, food, and paint packets!
Neon Vibe 5K: A 5K run/walk- it's like the color run! The difference? It's a night glow
race with neon paint and courses designed to light up the night with UV black light
glow-zones, upbeat dance music, and amped runners! Afterwards, there's an af-
tervibe celebration near the finish line! Sign up here! And sign up here as well!
