Riparte il Concorso Bandistico Internazionale Flicorno d’oro, giunto alla diciassettesima edizione. Dopo un 2014 che ha visto una buona partecipazione di formazioni musicali, sono quaranta le bande che si confronteranno in questa rinnovata edizione, distribuite delle varie categorie previste. Novità assoluta per questa edizione, l’organizzazione del First Yamaha European Class Band Festival, in collaborazione con lo sponsor Yamaha Europe. Si tratta dell’incontro di 8 realtà giovanili composte da ragazzi tra i 12 e i 15 anni, di sette nazionalità diverse; c.a. 250 ragazzi che giungeranno a Riva del Garda sotto il segno della musica.L’impegno organizzativo espresso in questi mesi dall’Associazione Flicorno d’Oro, è stato identico al passato e questo è sicuramente garanzia per una buona riuscita della manifestazione. La direzione artistica del concorso è sempre nelle mani del Maestro Daniele Carnevali, mentre la giuria, potrà contare su musicisti di fama e carisma internazionale: alla presidenza i Maestri Johan De Meij (NL) e Miro Saje (SLO), coadiuvati dai Maestri Andres Alvarez (E), Renè Castelain (F), Andrea Franceschelli (I), Michele Mangani (I), Piet Swerts (B) ed Enea Tonetti (I). Colgo qui l’occasione per formulare a tutti loro un sentito grazie per aver accettato di essere presenti a Riva del Garda. Anche in questa edizione, a margine del concorso, incontri e dibattiti che potranno arricchire tutti coloro che desidereranno trascorrere a Riva del Garda un fine settimana all’insegna della musica e della cultura. Tra gli eventi collaterali da segnalare l’intervento del M° Maurizio Managò che relazionerà sul tema Musica e legalità: fondare una banda giovanile in Calabria.Si ripropone quindi l’incontro e il confronto tra culture musicali diverse, che danno al concorso quella peculiarità e distinzione che lo rendono unico in Italia e che fanno della città di Riva del Garda una delle capitali europee della musica bandistica. Fogge e divise multicolori come simboli di appartenenza a culture musicali diverse, dietro le quali centinaia di musicisti esprimono il desiderio di conoscersi, di ascoltarsi. Altro dato veramente entusiasmante, la presenza di tantissimi giovani che nelle ultime edizioni hanno avuto l’opportunità di farsi apprezzare per le loro doti artistiche, oltre che dare all’evento un volto nuovo e dinamico. Altro momento tradizionalmente significativo del concorso, la serata inaugurale, dove oltre ai saluti di rito, avremo modo di ascoltare all’ Auditorium della Chiesa S. Giuseppe di Riva del Garda il concerto di apertura tenuto dalla Grande Banda Rappresentativa della Federazione dei Corpi Bandistici della Provincia di Trento, diretta dal M° Giancarlo Guarino con la presenza del solista alla tromba Marco Pierobon. A loro il ringraziamento ufficiale per essere presenti su questo palcoscenico. Immancabile ma comunque doveroso ricordare l’impegno ed il sostegno della Provincia Autonoma

Once again it’s time for the Flicorno d’Oro International Band Competition, now at its XVII edition. New for this edition, the organisation of the First European Yamaha Class Band Festival, in col-laboration with the sponsor Yamaha Europe. This is the meeting of 8 groups of young musicians between 12 and 15 years of age, from seven different countries, meeting in Riva del Garda under the sign of music. The organizational commitment expressed in recent months by Flicorno d’Oro, was identical to the past and this is definitely a guarantee for the success of the event.Maestro Daniele Carnevali is confirmed as Artistic Director of the competition, and the interna-tional jury will be chaired by Maestro Johan de Meij (NL) and Miro Saje assisted by Andres Alvarez (E), Renè Castelain (F), Andrea Franceschelli (I), Michele Mangani (I), Piet Swerts (B) and Enea Tonetti (I). I wish to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of them for accepting our invitation to be part of the international jury. This edition will also have parallel events such as meetings and debates that will benefit all those who wish to spend a weekend at Riva del Garda in the pursuit of music and culture. Among the events to be remembered the intervention of Maestro Maurizio Managò that will report on the topic Music and legality: founding a youth band in Cal-abria. The occasion is an encounter of different musical cultures that distinguish the contest and make it unique in Italy, transforming the city of Riva del Garda into one of the European capitals of band music. Multi-coloured costumes and uniforms are symbols of the different musical cultures of the bands, all united by the wish to make friends and compete with each other. Another truly exciting fact is the presence of lots of young people who took part in past editions, where they had the opportunity to display their artistic talent and give the event a young, dynamic atmosphere.It is also my duty, and a pleasure, to mention the commitment and support of the Autonomous Provincial District of Trento, represented by the Councillor Tiziano Mellarini, the Riva del Garda Municipality, represented by Councillor Flavia Brunelli, the Autonomous Regional District of Trentino Alto Adige, Ingarda Trentino, the Trento Provincial Federation of Bands and its President Renzo Braus, the B.I.M., the Caritro Foundation, and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. Special thanks go to the Cassa Rurale Alto Garda, Yamaha Music Europe repre-sented by Gianbattista Corti, Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, the active cooperation of the Riva del Garda Band with its President Lino Trenti and Don Luigi, of the Parish of St. Joseph, for having kindly placed at our disposal the hall for the concert. Dieses Jahr findet die siebzehnte Ausgabe des Internationalen Blasorchester-Wettbewerbs Flicorno d’Oro statt. Neu in dieser Ausgabe, die Organisation der ersten europäischen Yamaha Class Band Festival in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Sponsor Yamaha Europe. Dies ist die Teilnahme von 8 Gruppen von jungen Musiker zwischen 12 und 15 Jahren aus sieben verschiedenen Länder. Die organisatorische Engagement ausgedrückt in den letzten Monaten durch die Mitarbeiter von Flicorno d’Oro, war identisch mit der Vergangenheit und das ist auf jeden Fall Garant für den Erfolg der Veranstaltung.Die künstlerische Leitung des Wettbewerbs liegt immer noch in Händen von Maestro Daniele Carnevali, während die internationale Jury auf den Vorsitz von Maestro Johan de Meij (NL) und Miro Saje (SLO) zählen kann, mit der Unterstützung von Andres Alvarez (E), Renè Castelain (F), Andrea Franceschelli (I), Michele Mangani (I), Piet Swerts (B) ed Enea Tonetti(I ). Ich möchte bei dieser Gelegenheit allen herzlich dafür danken, daß sie eingewilligt haben, an der internationalen Jury teilzunehmen. Auch in dieser Ausgabe finden neben dem Wettbewerb, Treffen und Debatten statt, die eine Bereicherung für alle jene darstellen, die ein Wochenende in Riva del Garda unter dem Zeichen der Musik und Kultur verbringen möchten.Es wird also wieder ein Treffen von verschiedenen Musikkulturen stattfinden, die dem Wettbewerb jene Besonderheit und Auszeichnung verleihen, die ihn zu etwas Einzigartigem in Italien macht und die, die Stadt Riva del Garda zu einer der europäischen Hauptstädte der Blasorchester-Musik werden lässt. Trachten und farbenprächtige Uniformen als Symbol der Zugehörigkeit zu verschie-denen Musikkulturen, die sich kennen lernen und konfrontieren möchten. Eine weitere erfreuliche Tatsache ist die Anwesenheit so vieler junger Teilnehmer, die bei den letzten Ausgaben die Gele-genheit hatten, sich durch ihre künstlerischen Leistungen auszuzeichnen und der Veranstaltung ein neues und dynamisches Image verleihen.Ein weiterer Höhepunkt des Wettbewerbs ist der Eröffnungsabend, wo wir, abgesehen von der rituellen Begrüßungen, auch Gelegenheit haben werden, im Auditorium der Chiesa S. Giuseppe von Riva del Garda dem Eröffnungskonzert mit der Grande Banda Rappresentativa della Federa-zione dei Corpi Bandistici della Provincia di Trento, dirigiert von M° Giancarlo Guarino mit dem Trompete Soloist Marco Pierobon beizuwohnen.Bei der Gelegenheit möchte ich mich natürlich auch für den Einsatz und die Unterstützung der Autonomen Provinz Trient, in Person des Assessors Tiziano Mellarini, der Gemeinde Riva del Garda in Person des Stadtrats Flavia Brunelli, der Region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, des Tourismusverbandes Ingarda Trentino, des Verbandes der Musikkapellen von Trient und dessen Präsidenten Renzo Braus, des Bim, (Gebirgseinzugsgebiete) Sarca Garda Mincio, der Stifung Caritro, des italienischen Ministeriums für kulturelle Güter und Tätigkeiten bedanken. Il crescente apprezzamento che sta accompagnando il Flicorno d’Oro è testimonianza di quanto esso sia ormai considerato un’esperienza radicata e autorevole nel panorama culturale internazio-nale. Un evento che apre i confini della nostra provincia ai migliori bandisti europei, gettando un interessante sguardo al futuro e riservando grande attenzione anche al mondo giovanile.Un appuntamento qualificante per Riva del Garda e per il Trentino, che va oltre i pur importanti significati musicali e offre spunti positivi anche sul terreno della promozione territoriale della nostra provincia e della sua capacità di ospitare e organizzare al meglio eventi di caratura europea. Fin dalla sua prima edizione del 1992, il Flicorno d’Oro si è posto l’obiettivo di creare momenti di confronto musicale e occasioni di arricchimento artistico. Il costante incremento della parteci-pazione e la crescita del livello artistico dei gruppi in concorso hanno accreditato l’appuntamento facendolo divenire un vero e proprio momento d’incontro e di riferimento per gli appassionati della musica bandistica ad ampio respiro.Il ritrovarsi a Riva del Garda sta, infatti, divenendo ricorrente in molte formazioni bandistiche provenienti da diversi Paesi europei. Se a questo poi si affiancano la competenza e la serietà con cui le giurie, che si sono succedute negli anni hanno accompagnato le più diverse interpretazioni nelle varie categorie, è con soddisfazione che possiamo considerare il Flicorno d’Oro un vero e proprio gioiellino con cui l’intero Trentino, con orgoglio, si apre e guarda all’Europa.Un sentito ringraziamento va all’associazione organizzatrice di Riva del Garda, agli enti pubblici e privati, a tutti i volontari che con passione e dedizione si stanno spendendo per la piena riuscita anche di questa XVII edizione del concorso e di tutte le iniziative.Un benvenuto ai musicisti partecipanti e ai loro accompagnatori con l’augurio che il Flicorno d’Oro possa essere vissuto e ricordato certamente come esperienza artistica di alto livello ma anche come momento pieno di conoscenza e arricchimento culturale personale.

The growing appreciation for Flicorno d’Oro witnesses what it is now considered a validated and deeply rooted event in the international cultural scene. The Autonomous Provincial District of Trento has always supported initiatives like these, which combine top cultural quality with an equally high level of hospitality by the public. I am convinced that occasions such as the Flicorno d’Oro are on one hand a desirable “showcase” for the players and more experienced bands, but also opportunities for young people to approach the world of music, encouraging them to join a band to perfect their performance with their chosen instrument. There is also a last, but not less important, aspect, I refer to the importance that band music has in the Trento region for creat-ing, qualifying and promoting the hospitality of our territory for the great number of people who choose to spend their holidays with us. Since its first edition in 1992, Flicorno d’Oro aims to create discussion and musical opportunities for artistic enrichment. The steady increase of participation and the growth of the artistic level of the bands in the competition have confirmed the value of this competition making it a true meeting point for lovers of band music. The meeting in Riva del Garda is in fact becoming recurrent in music and wind bands from different European countries thanks to the famous musicians that in the years were called to judge, and it is with satisfaction that we can consider Flicorno d’Oro a real jewel with which Trentino, with pride, opens and looks to Europe.A heartfelt thanks goes to the organizing association of Riva del Garda, public and private institu-tions, to all the volunteers who, with passion and dedication work for the success of this seventeenth edition of the competition. A welcome to the participating bands and groups with the hope that Flicorno d’Oro will certainly be lived and remembered as a high-level artistic experience but also as a time full of knowledge and cultural personal enrichment. Die ständig zunehmende Beliebtheit von “Flicorno d’Oro” ist Zeuge dafür, wie wichtig und ver-wurzelt diese Veranstaltung bereits im internationalen Kulturpanorama ist. Ein Event, das die Grenzen unserer Provinz für die besten europäischen Blasorchester öffnet und einen interessanten Blick auf die Zukunft und auch auf die Welt der Jugend wirft. Eine qualifizierende Veranstaltung für Riva del Garda und das Trentino, die über die Bedeutung der Musik hinaus reicht und positive Anregungen auch im Bereich der Promotion unserer Provinz und deren Fähigkeit liefert, kulturelle Veranstaltungen auf europäischer Ebene zu beherbergen und zu organisieren. Bereits seit der ersten Ausgabe im Jahre 1992 hat sich Flicorno d’Oro das Ziel gesteckt, Gelegenheiten für die musikalische Konfrontation und künstlerische Bereicherung zu schaffen. Die steigende Zunahme an Teilnehmern und die ständige Verbesserung des künstlerischen Niveaus der am Wettbewerb teilnehmenden Gruppen haben der Veranstaltung Glaubwürdigkeit verliehen und sie zu einem wahren Treffpunkt für Liebhaber von Blasorchestermusik gemacht. Das Zusammentreffen in Riva del Garda wird zu einer regelmäßigen Gewohnheit für viele aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern kommenden Blasorchester. Wenn man dazu noch die Kompetenz und die Seriosität der Jurien betrachtet, die im Laufe der Jahre die verschiedenartigsten Interpretationen in den diversen Kategorien begleitet haben, so können wir mit Genugtuung die Veranstaltung Flicorno d’oro als ein echtes und wertvolles Juwel betrachten, mit dem sich das ganze Trentino mit Stolz dem Europa öffnet. Un benvenuto che esprimo in nome di una città, Riva del Garda, che da sempre ama, accoglie e gusta la musica, e che non a caso è sede di un Conservatorio e di una scuola musicale, e di tante, prestigiose manifestazioni musicali. Un benvenuto sincero, per l’affetto che ci lega a una manifestazione che porta nella nostra città una caratteristica, vivace, contagiosa invasione di musica. Una gradita tradizione, un momento di festa e un’occasione d’incontro che anche quest’anno – ne sono certo – saranno entusiasmanti. A welcome that I express in the name of Riva del Garda, a city who always loves, welcomes and enjoy music, and not surprisingly hosts a conserva-tory and a music school, and many prestigious musical events. A sincere welcome as we love this event that brings in our city a distinctive, lively, contagious invasion of music. Il Flicorno d’Oro, giunto ormai alla sua diciassettesima edizione, conferma anche per quest’anno la sua capacità di organizzare eventi di altissimo livello, con la grande partecipazione di bande da tutta Europa. The Flicorno d’Oro, now at its seventeenth edition, also in this year confirms its ability to organize top quality events, with the participation of great Europeans bands. Daniele Carnevali, diplomatosi al Conservatorio di Parma in tromba e strumentazione per banda e in musica corale e direzione di coro al Conservatorio di Bologna, ha poi seguito corsi di direzione d’orchestra con il Maestro Piero Guarino. Inizialmente svolse attività di trombettista in varie orchestre lirico-sinfoniche quali la “Arturo Toscanini” dell’Emilia Romagna e altre, alternandole all’insegnamento di tromba e trombone nei Conservatori di Parma e Modena.Contemporaneamente si dedicò all’arrangiamento e alla trascrizione di complessi per ottoni e a composizioni originali per bande attraverso le quali si distinse vincendo diversi premi. Le sue composizioni si caratterizzano per l’utilizzo di vari generi musicali, per le differenti tipologie d’organico bandistico e per i diversi gradi di difficoltà, grazie ai quali sono spesso utilizzate come brani d’obbligo nei concorsi in Italia e in Francia.Carnevali collaborò con molte case editrici come Eridanea (MN), Molenaar (NL) e dal 1993 a oggi in modo continuo ed esclusivo con Scomegna (TO).Le sue circa trenta composizioni sono state incise in più di quaranta cd, dieci dei quali registrati dall’autore in Italia (ed. Scomegna) e in Germania (ed. Carpe Diem). Diresse inoltre le bande di Sabbioneta (MN), G. Verdi Città di Parma, i “101” di Fabbrico (RE), il Corpo bandistico di Albiano (TN), la Trentino Wind Band (TN - primo premio Valencia 1998) e come ospite anche alcune formazioni prestigiose come: Banda dell’Esercito Italiana, Filarmonica G. Andreoli di Mirandola (MO), Civica di Soncino (CR- primo premio Flicorno d’oro 1999), Euterpe di Canicattini Bagni, G. Verdi cittadina di Trieste, Fiatinsieme (TO), Orchestre d’Harmonie du Val d’Aoste (AO), Wellington Winds e Wilfried Lauriel University (Canada), e ultimamente le bande universitarie di Jeju (Sud-Corea) e Tilburg (Olanda). Collaborò con solisti di grande fama come Roger Bobo, Velvet Brown, Steven Mead, Jacques Mauger, Clement Saunier, Paolo Russo, Andrew Dahlke e altri giovani emergenti.Daniele Carnevali tiene stages, seminari, corsi intensivi e continui in quasi tutte le regioni italiane ed è spesso invitato nelle giurie di concorsi nazionali e internazionali in vari Paesi europei e non (Spagna, Francia, Ungheria, Germania, Corea del Sud). He graduated in trumpet and band instrumentation at the Conservatory of Parma and in choral music and conduction at the Conservatory of Bologna. He was a trumpet player in various orches-tras such as Arturo Toscanini from Emilia Romagna and in the same time teacher at the Parma and Modena Conservatories. At the same time, he worked on transcription for brass ensemble and on original composition for band – for which he has won several prizes at competitions. He has worked for publishers as Eridanea (Mantova), Molenaar (Holland) and since 1993 he is a Scomegna composer (Turin). All of his 30 compositions have been recorded on more of 40 cd, 10 by himself in Italy (ed. Scomegna) and in Germany (ed. Carpe Diem). He has conducted several bands such as Sabbioneta (MN), G. Daniele Carnevali hat am Konservatorium von Parma das Diplom Trompete und Instrumentierung für Musikkapellen erworben, sowie für Chormusik und Chorleitung am Konservatorium von Bolo-gna. Er hat verschiedene Kurse Orchesterleitung bei Maestro Piero Guarino besucht. Zunächst spielte er die Trompete in verschiedenen Orchestern, worunter im Arturo Toscanini Orchester der Emilia Romagna, wechselte diese Tätigkeit aber ab mit dem Unterricht für Trompete und Posaune an den Musikhochschulen Parma und Modena. Gegenwärtig widmet er sich dem Arrangement und der Transkription für verschiedene Blasmusikformationen und der Originalmusik für Musikkapelle, womit er sich in den Wettbewerben auszeichnet. Er komponiert für unterschied-liche Musikgenres und für die verschiedensten Gruppenzusammensetzungen; seine Kompositionen varieeren auch bezüglich Schwierigkeitsgrad und werden oft als Pflichtstück bei Wettbewerben in Italien und Frankreich eingesetzt. Er hat mit den Musikverlegern Eridanea (Mantova) und Molenaar (NL) zusammengearbeitet und ab 1993 veröffentlicht er ausschließlich bei Scomegna (Torino). Seine 30 Kompositionen wurden auf mehr als 40 CD’s herausgebracht, 10 davon nahm er in Italien (Musikverlag Scomegna) und in Deutschland (Musikverlag Carpe Diem) auf. Er hat folgende Blaskapellen geleitet: Musikkapelle Sabbioneta (Mantova), G. Johan de Meij (Voorburg / Paesi Bassi, 1953) ha studiato direzione d’orchestra e trombone presso il Conservatorio Reale de L’Aia. Si è guadagnato fama internazionale come compositore e arran-giatore. Il suo catalogo comprende opere originali, trascrizioni di pezzi orchestrali, arrangiamenti di colonne sonore e musicali. Symphony No. 1 Il Signore degli Anelli (SdA), basato sul famoso libro di Tolkien fu la sua prima composizione importante per Concert Band e ha ricevuto il prestigioso Premio Internazionale di Composizione Sudler. Le sue altre composizioni principali, la Sinfonia n°2 La Grande Mela, T-Bone Concerto (per trombone solista e banda) e Casanova (per violoncello e orchestra di fiati) sono nei repertori delle maggiori orchestre mondiali. Oltre al suo lavoro come compositore e arrangiatore, Johan de Meij è molto attivo come direttore d’orchestra, giudice e docente. Come trombonista, si è esibito con le maggiori orchestre e gruppi musicali d’Olanda. Ha diretto alcune delle più importanti orchestre di fiati di Europa, Asia, Australia, Nord e America meridionale. Nel 2010, è stato nominato direttore ospite della celebre Simón Bolívar Youth Wind Orchestra a Caracas, Venezuela. Nel 2014, Johan de Meij divenne direttore ospite principale sia del New York Wind Symphony che della The Wind Orchestra Kyushu a Fukuoka, in Giappone.

Johan de Meij (Voorburg, 1953) studied trombone and conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague. He has earned international fame as a composer and arranger. De Meij’s Symphony No. 1 The Lord of the Rings received the prestigious Sudler Composition Award in 1989. Renowned orchestras such as The London Symphony Orchestra, North Netherlands Orches-tra, Nagoya Philharmonic and the Amsterdam Wind Orchestra have recorded The Lord of the Rings. Other major works such as Symphony No.2 The Big Apple, Symphony no.3 Planet Earth, Symphony No.4 Sinfonie der Lieder, T-Bone Concerto and Casanova and shorter works such as Extreme Makeover and Extreme Beethoven have also gained worldwide recognition. Besides composing and arranging, Johan de Meij is active as a conductor, adjudicator and lecturer. As a trombone and euphonium player he has performed with the major orchestras and ensembles in The Netherlands. He has conducted some of the leading wind orchestras of Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America. Johan de Meij (Voorburg, 1953) studierte Posaune und Direktion am Königlichen Konservatorium Den Haag und erlangte als Komponist und Arrangeur internationale Anerkennung. Sein Werk umfasst neben originalen Kompositionen auch sinfonische Transkriptionen und Bearbeitungen von Filmmusik und Musicals.Die Sinfonie Nr. 1 The Lord of the Rings war Johan de Meijs erste große Komposition für sinfoni-sches Blasorchester und wurde 1989 mit dem anerkannten Sudler Composition Award in den USA ausgezeichnet. Auch seine anderen groß angelegten Werke, wie die Sinfonie Nr. 2 The Big Apple, das T-Bone Concerto sowie Casanova fanden ihren Weg ins Repertoire der besseren Orchester auf der ganzen Welt. Außer als Komponist ist Johan de Meij auch als Musiker in verschiedenen Bereichen aktiv. Als Posaunist spielte er mit verschiedenen Niederländischen Ensembles und Orchestern. Miro Saje (Novo Mesto, 1965) ha studiato Tromba presso l’Accademia di Musica di Ljubljana e si è diplomato nel 1990 con il Professor Anton Gr�ar. Già durante il suo percorso di studi si esibisce con “l’Orchestra Sinfonica RTV Ljubljana” e “l’Orchestra Sinfonica del Teatro di Ljubljana”. A soli 13 anni il musicista si unisce al Krka Wind Orchestra. Nel 1990 assume la direzione di questo Ensemble, che da allora ha ottenuto riconoscimenti e notorietà internazionale. La qualità eccellente viene sottolineata dai numerosi premi ricevuti nell’ambito di concorsi e rappresentazioni internazionali.Miro Saje ha studiato inizialmente direzione con Antun Poljani� e si è in seguito perfezionato con Jan Cober presso il Conservatorio Brabants a Tilburg (Olanda). Questo periodo è stato una pietra miliare nella formazione della sua carriera e nel 1999 ha terminato con successo il suo ciclo di studi. Negli anni 1995, 1997 e 1999 gli è stato conferito il premio come miglior direttore nel Concorso bandistico internazionale a Riva del Garda (Italia).Per molti anni forma con successo suonatori di ottoni alla “Scuola di Musica”. Egli offre regolar-mente importanti corsi per direttore e anche lui stesso partecipa ad alcuni seminari da direttore. Dal 2001 è direttore aggiunto presso il Corpo di Polizia Slovena. Nel 2004 ha registrato con l’Or-chestra a Fiati della Radio di Lipsia il suo primo CD con l’editore Musik Verlag Beriato. Dal 2004 è direttore dell’Orchestra a Fiati Giovanile della Slovenia. Viene spesso invitato quale Direttore straordinario e membro di giuria presso molti concorsi internazionali.

During the existence of the Slovenian Youth Wind Orchestra he operated as its con-ductor. Since 2001 he has been a guest conductor of The Slovene Police Orchestra. In May 2004 he recorded a CD with Rundfunk Blasorchester Leipzig for Belgium publisher Beriato. He is well-known as a jury member and guest conductor throughout Europe and in the USA.

Miro Saje wurde im Jahre 1965 in Novo Mesto geboren. Er studierte Trompete an der Musikaka-demie Ljubljana und absolviert sein Studium 1990 bei Professor Anton Gr�ar. Schon während seines Studiums trat der Künstler zusammen mit dem RTV Ljubljana Symphonieorchester und dem Opernhaus Ljubljana Symphonisches Orchester auf.Seinen ersten Dirigierunterricht nahm Miro Saje bei Antun Poljani� bevor er zu Jan Cober an das Brabants Konservatorium in Tilburg (Holland) wechselte. Diese Zeit war ein wich-tiger Meilenstein in seiner Karriere und 1999 schloss er dort sein Studium erfolgreich ab. In den Jahren 1995, 1997 und 1999 wurde er jeweils als bester Dirigent beim internationalen Blasorchesterwettbewerb Flicorno d’Oro in Riva del Garda (Italien)ausgezeichnet. Im Jahre 2006 errang er den dritten Platz bei dem internationalen Dirigentenwettbewerb in Wien. Seit 1990 erzeugte er viele gewichtigen Projekte und gewann mehrere Inlands- und Auslandswettbewerbe. Über viele Jahre hinweg bildet Miro Saje Blechbläser an der „Novo Mesto Musikschule“ erfolg-reich aus. Er bietet regelmäßig wichtige Dirigierkurse an und besucht selber auch einige Diri-gierseminare. Er war der Dirigent des slowenischen Jugendblasorchesters Zeit seines Bestehens. Seit 2001 ist er ein gefragter Gastdirigent bei dem slowenischen Polizeikorps. Im Jahr 2004 hat er mit Rundfunk Blasorchester Leipzig für Musik Verlag Beriato seine erste CD aufgenommen. Seit 2004 ist der Dirigent des Slowenischen Jugendblasorchesters. Er ist oft als Gastdirigent und Juror bei vielen internationale Wettbewerben eingeladen.

Rossini” di Pesaro in Clarinetto, Strumentazione per banda, Composizione, Direzione d’orchestra, e presso il conserva-torio “G. B. Martini” di Bologna in Musica corale e direzione di coro. Nel 1985 ha iniziato l’attività di Direttore presso l’Orchestra di strumenti a fiato della Cappella Musicale del SS. Sacramento di Urbino e il Corpo Bandistico di Candelara (PE) che dirige tutt’ora.Nel 1996 ha vinto il Concorso Nazionale per Maestro Direttore della Banda Nazionale dell’Esercito Italiano. Ha partecipato come collaboratore del M° Lorenzo Della Fonte al corso per Direttori di Banda della “Giovanile Orchestra di Fiati” organizzato dal Fondo Sociale Europeo a Ripatransone. È stato invitato alla “Settimana di studio per direzione, esecuzione e cultura bandistica” come docente collaboratore del M° Eugene Migliaro Corporon (Direttore del North Texas Wind Symphonic USA). Seit 1994 komponiert er auch für Harmonieorchester: konzertante Werke wie „Martenizza“, „Apocalyps II“, „Fantasy Tales“; kürzlich auch sein Klavierkonzert „Wings“, schon aufgeführt in Deutschland, den Niederlanden, Belgien, USA, Japan und Kanada, und von dem Komponisten selbst auf CD aufgezeichnet bei de Haske Records. Sein Saxophonkonzert wurde Januar 2005 aufgezeichnet in Tokio, im Auftrag von van Nobuya Sugawa und dem Tokio Kosei Wind Orchestra. In 2011 ist er promoviert als Doctor in die Kunsten. Piet Swerts arbeitet exclusiv in Auftrag und sein Oeuvre zällt nun mehr dan 230 Werke.

Enea Tonetti (Carrara, 1966) si è diplomato con lode in clarinetto presso il Conservatorio G.Verdi di Torino sotto la guida del Maestro Raffaele Annunziata; ha poi proseguito gli studi e presso lo stesso Conservatorio si è diplomato in sassofono nall’anno 2002. Dal 1997 è direttore artistico dell’orche-stra di fiati Fiatinsieme con la quale ha realizzato i CD Acapulco, Imagine, Momentango, Ballata, Happy Xmas, per citarne solamente alcuni. Ha inoltre tenuto numerosi concerti con l’incarico di direttore: Lodi (ottobre ‘98), Teatro Regio di Torino (novembre ‘98 - ott. e dic. ‘99), Canicattini Bagni (SR) (settembre 99), oltre a molti altri concerti, primo fra tutti quello eseguito durante la visita del Sommo Pontefice nel maggio ‘98 a Torino. Collabora come direttore con gli Ottoni dell’Orchestra Verdi di Milano che ha diretto nel novembre del 2000 in un concerto trasmesso in diretta nazionale su RAI RADIO TRE. Ha collaborato con l’Orchestra Nazionale della RAI in qualità di sassofonista e clarinettista; come sassofonista con il Teatro Regio di Torino, l’orchestra Giovanile del Piemonte, con il Teatro di Torino, con il Teatro Piccolo di Milano e recentemente con l’ Orchestra Filarmonica di Baden-Baden (Germania). E’ attualmente titolare delle cattedre di clarinetto, cassofono e musica da camera presso l’ Istituto civico Baravalle di Fossano (CN), dove ricopre anche la carica di vice-direttore.

Verdi in Turin under Maestro Raffaele Annunziata; he continued his studies at the Conservatory and gradu-ated in 2002 in saxophone. Since 1997 he is artistic director of the orchestra of wind instruments Fiatinsieme with which he made the CD Acapulco, Imagine, Momentango, Ballad, and Happy Xmas just to name only a few. He has also given numerous concerts as director: Lodi (October ‘98), Teatro Regio in Turin (November ‘98 – October and December ‘99), Canicattini Bagni (SR) (September 99), and many other, also one during the visit of the Pope in May ‘98 in Turin. He works as director with the Brass of the Orchestra Verdi in Milan which he directed in November 2000 in a concert broadcasted live on national RADIO RAI TRE. He has worked with the National Orchestra of RAI as a saxophonist and clarinetist; as a saxophonist with the Teatro Regio in Turin, the orchestra Youth of Piedmont, with the Teatro di Torino, the Piccolo Teatro di Milano and recently with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Baden-Baden (Germany). He currently holds the chair of clarinet, saxophone and chamber music at the Institute Baravalle of Fossano (CN), where he also holds the position of Vice-Director.

Er arbeitet als Direktor beim Ottoni dell’Orchestra Verdi di Milano, das er im November 2000 in einem Live Konzert im RAI RADIO DREI dirigierte.Er arbeitete zusammen mit dem Nationalorchester RAI als Saxophonist und Klarinettist; als Saxophonist mit dem Teatro Regio in Turin, dem Jugendorchester Piedmont, mit dem Teatro von Torino, mit dem Teatro Piccolo von Milano und vor kurzem mit der Philharmonie Baden-Baden (Deutschland). Enea Tonetti hat derzeit den Lehrstuhl für Klarinette, Saxophon und Kammermusik an dem Isti-tuto Civico Baravalle von Fossano (CN), wo er auch als Vizedirektor tätig ist.

Banda Rappresentativa della Federazionedei Corpi Bandistici della Provincia di Trento

La Banda Rappresentativa della Federazione dei Corpi Bandistici della provincia di Trento è stata costituita nel 1989 dalla Federazione Corpi Bandistici allo scopo di rappresentare la realtà bandistica provinciale in occasione delle più significative e importanti circostanze sia locali che nazionali o internazionali. Essa è formata da circa 60 musicisti, diplomati al Conservatorio e scelti tra i migliori strumentisti della Provincia di Trento che conta oggi ben 4800 suonatori, distribuiti su tutto il territorio provinciale. Nel corso degli anni il complesso è stato diretto dal Professore del Conservatorio di Trento e conosciuto compositore Daniele Carnevali, dal Professore del Conserva-torio di Vienna e compositore Thomas Doss, dal Direttore della banda dell’Esercito Italiano Prof. Fulvio Creux, dal Prof. Marco Bazzoli, dal Prof. Lorenzo Della Fonte, e dal Prof. Giancarlo Guarino.L’attività concertistica della Banda Rappresentativa è finalizzata ad esibizioni in occasione di manifestazioni di rilievo, di promozione della musica originale per banda, e di supporto all’attività formativa.Oltre al tradizionale Concerto di Natale, che viene effettuato a Trento il 26 dicembre di ogni anno, la banda ha presenziato, in qualità di ospite, al Concorso bandistico internazionale “Flicorno d’Oro”, al Concorso di composizione internazionale “Farfalla d’oro”. Nel luglio del 1997 ha partecipato al Congresso mondiale della WASBE a Schladming in Austria, scelta a rappresentare l’Italia. Nel dicembre 1998 è stata l’unica banda europea invitata a partecipare al Midwest Clinic di Chicago. Nel 2002 ha partecipato al festival bandistico internazionale di Goldach (Svizzera), nel 2004 è stata invitata a tenere un concerto a Bergamo all’interno dell’importante stagione Concertista estiva, mentre nel 2005 si segnala la partecipazione al Mid-Europe di Schladming, la più importante manifestazione bandistica europea.La banda Rappresentativa negli ultimi anni è stata diretta da maestri di livello internazionale, nel 2009 e 2010 dal maestro Lorenzo della Fonte, nel 2010 ha partecipato all’estate ANGELANA (Assisi) con due concerti presso la chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angeli di Assisi, diretti dal M° Giancarlo Guarino, nel 2011 è stata diretta dal maestro Daniele Carnevali e dal Maestro spagnolo Rafael Vilaplana, nel 2012 dal maestro Giancarlo Guarino e nel 2013 ha i Festival di Musica Sacra e il Concerto di Natale del 26 dicembre sono stati diretti dal maestro Marco Somadossi.

The “Banda Rappresentativa della Federazione dei Corpi Bandistici della Provincia di Trento” was established in 1989 by the Trentino Bands Federation in order to represent provincial bands reality during the most significant and important circumstances both local and national or interna-tional. It consists of about 60 musicians, graduated from the Conservatory and chosen among the best instrumentalists of the Province of Trento, which now has 4800 players, distributed throughout the province. Over the years, the complex was directed by Professor of the Conservatory of Trento and known composer Daniele Carnevali, the Professor of the Vienna Conservatory and composer Thomas Doss, the Director of the Italian Army band Prof. Fulvio Creux, Prof. Marco Bazzoli, by Prof. Lorenzo Della Fonte, and Prof. Giancarlo Guarino. Ha iniziato giovanissimo gli studi musicali sotto la guida della madre Donna Magendanz e del padre Piero Guarino. Si è diplomato col massimo dei voti in violino studiando con Giovanni Carpi e in pianoforte grazie a Sergio Torri. Ha quindi proseguito gli studi presso la Musikhochschule di Hannover (master in violino con Jens Ellermann) e l’Accademia di Imola (master di Musica da Camera con Piernarciso Masi). Vincitore di concorso per esami per l’insegnamento di Violino e Musica da Camera nei Conservatori italiani, dal 1996 è titolare della cattedra di Musica da Camera presso il Conservatorio Bonporti di Trento. In qualità di docente di direzione d’orchestra tiene corsi di perfezionamento a Cles (Tn), in collaborazione con la Scuola di Musica C. Eccher.Nel 2002 ha attivato il primo corso sperimentale Post - Diploma di Musica da Camera, approvato e sostenuto dal MIUR presso il Conservatorio Bonporti di Trento.Da anni svolge intensa attività concertistica in Italia, in Europa e negli Stati Uniti alternando i ruoli di pianista e violinista; in particolare con il Trio Guarino si è distinto presso il Concorso Internazio-nale di esecuzione cameristica di Rovereto (Primo Premio) e il Concorso di Caltanissetta. In Duo ha suonato in sedi prestigiose quali il Lingotto di Torino, S. Giovanni Evangelista a Venezia, in varie città europee tra cui Strasburgo, Freiburg, Wels, nello Stato di New York e in Arkansas (U.S.A.). Ha recentemente collaborato con i solisti della “Mahler Chamber Orchestra”.

Dal 1994 è direttore dell’orchestra da camera di Trento - “Ensemble Zandonai”. Il complesso vanta numerosi concerti in Italia, una importante tournée sotto invito della Eastman School of Music di Rochester nel Nord degli Stati Uniti, una incisione discografica per l’etichetta “Symposium”, colla-borazioni con grandi interpreti tra cui Cecilia Gasdia, Stefan Milenkovich, Giorgio Carnini, Gemma Bertagnolli, Piernarciso Masi, Johannes Peitz, registrazioni televisive (R.A.I.), collaborazione con il Concorso Internazionale per Direttori d’Orchestra Antonio Pedrotti, realizzazione della manifesta-zione “Incontro con la musica per archi”. Dal 2000 ad oggi l’Ensemble strumentale ha promosso e realizzato una propria stagione concertistica (ITAS assicurazioni come sponsor ufficiale). Nel 2012 ha realizzato la pubblicazione “Piero Guarino – La Vita e la Musica” per Albisani Editore.Nell’ottobre 2013 è stato distribuito dalla casa discografica “Tactus” un cofanetto (tre CD) con la produzione cameristica e per piccola orchestra più significativa di Riccardo Zandonai (alcune sono registrazioni inedite), ad opera dell’orchestra da camera di Trento - Ensemble Zandonai.Giancarlo Guarino ha seguito seminari di direzione con Romolo Gessi, Julius Kalmar, Piero Bellugi ed è stato allievo del maestro finlandese Jorma Panula. Presso la scuola di musica di Fiesole ha preso parte al progetto Giovani Direttori d’Europa. E’ stato invitato dall’Accademia superiore di musica di Kuopio, in Finlandia per un progetto in collaborazione con l’Accademia Sibelius di Helsinki e dal Conservatorio Superiore Reale di Bru-xelles per tenere stages di produzione come direttore.

He started his musical studies at a young age, under the tutelage of his mother Donna Magen-danz and father, Piero Guarino. He earned with high honors his master’s degree from Italian Conservatory in violin under the guidance of Giovanni Carpi and piano, studying with Sergio Torri. Two international prizes were awarded the “Trio Guarino”, in Rovereto and in Caltanissetta. laborations with important soloist such as Cecilia Gasdia, Stefan Milenkovich, Piernarciso Masi, Gemma Bertagnolli, Giorgio Carnini, Johannes Peitz and others; the chamber group has been also active as audition orchestra for the International Conductors Competition Antonio Pedrotti in Trento Italy. Since year 2000 Ensemble Zandonai – Trento chamber orchestra has organized an indipendent concert season officially sponsored by the insurance company ITAS. Cecilia (2003-2008 con Antonio Pappano), ed ha collaborato con lo stesso ruolo con la Chicago Symphony Orchestra (Daniel Barenboim) e l’Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala.Si è esibito come solista con le orchestre del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, English Chamber Orche-stra, Wiener Kammerkonzert, China Youth Orchestra, I virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala, Max-Plank-Philarmonie Mu�nchen, Junge Philarmonie Salzburg, Filarmonica Marchigiana, con le orchestre di Mantova, Bolzano, Vicenza, oltre all’orchestra di Fiati delle Marche e la Banda Musicale della Polizia di Stato.In tale veste si è esibito in Giappone, Cina, Europa e Stati Uniti con Direttori quali Mehta, Karabtchevsky, Siebens, Heider, Neuhold, Gothoni. Visto il successo delle passate edizioni, Yamaha Music Europe ripropone a tutti i musicisti presenti al Flicorno d’Oro la possibilità di partecipare a seminari gratuiti di manutenzione. I seminari di manutenzione si svolgeranno presso la Sala Presidenza al primo piano del Palazzo dei Congressi mentre nello stand Yamaha nel Palameeting gli esperti sono sempre disponibili per consigli sul Pronto Soccorso degli strumenti.

Yamaha Music Europe offers to all interested musicians present at Flicorno d’Oro the opportunity to attend free workshops about maintenance.The seminars will occur in Sala Presidenza at the Congressi Palace first floor while in the Yamaha Palameeting stand the experts are always available for instruments first aid advices.

Angesichts des Erfolgs vom letzen Jahr, bietet Yamaha Music Europe auch für das Jahr 2015 Pflege, Wartung und “Erste Hilfe” Seminare für Blasinstrumente. Die Seminare werden im Palazzo dei Congressi in Riva del Garda stattfinden.

Novità assoluta dell’edizione 2015 del Flicorno d’Oro è la presenza delle formazioni musicali nate dal progetto YAMAHA Class Band. Otto bande di giovanissimi musicisti si confronteranno davanti ad una giuria d’eccezione. Saranno rappresentati 6 dei 12 paesi europei dove è attivo l’innovativo metodo di educazione musicale YAMAHA dedicato agli strumenti a fiato.

New in 2015 edition at Flicorno d’Oro is the presence of musical groups born from the YAMAHA Class Band project. Eight bands of young musicians will compete in front of an exceptional jury. Six of the twelve European countries where this YAMAHA innovative method of music education dedicated to wind instruments is applied, will be represented.

Neu im 2015 bei Flicorno d’Oro ist die Teilnahme von Musikgruppen aus dem YAMAHA Class Band Projekt. Acht Musikgruppen von jungen Musikern wird vor einer außergewöhnlichen Jury konkurrieren. Vertreten sind sechs der 12 europäischen Ländern, in denen diese innovative Methode YAMAHA der Musi-kerziehung auf Blasinstrumente aktiv ist.

YAMAHA Class Band - my way to music

The system Yamaha Class Band complies with an ingenious method the desire of many children to learn & play a “real” musical instrument. It is a modern, motivating and effective music-teaching approach in which young students enthusiastically get to know their instrument through the joy of learning in school class, above all. So YAMAHA Class Band is a most suitable method for learning music and an musical instrument in the regular music lesson in classroom of schools. Three basic patterns lead to an early success:

1. A YAMAHA Class Band follows the model of a symphonic orchestra of wind instruments. All instruments usually to be played in such orchestra, are represented: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, horn and percussions. From the very first lesson, the young musicians form an orchestra in which each learns the chosen instrument systematically.

2. Thanks to a high developed method, all students start at the same time at point “zero” of instrumental knowledge & ability. In Class Band, the children learn together, playing an orchestra instrument in a school class or large group right from the start. Learning and play-ing together with other companions, is one of the most motivating stimulation for any effort.

3. After having climbed up the hill of first 5 tones, all students are able to give short public concerts with the whole orchestra - a “panacea” for learning a good social behaviour besides all musical skills.

Mixing up these three basics again and again in the circle of learning musical basics and expand-ing the instrumental capabilities in a harmonious social climate which generates lot of team spirit, YAMAHA Class Band is a method of nowadays music education at its best. In 12 European coun-tries, this splendid method and way to music is working in nearly 3.000 YAMAHA Class Bands, located in round about 1.500 public schools; every day new ones are added.-

YAMAHA Class Band – My Way to Music Yamaha Class band è un metodo innovativo che unisce il desiderio di molti bambini di imparare a suonare uno strumento musicale “Vero”. Si tratta di un approccio moderno, motivante ed un efficace insegnamento musicale in cui i giovani studenti, con entusiasmo conosceranno il loro strumento attraverso la gioia di imparare a suonare INSIEME. YAMAHA Class Band è il metodo più adatto per l’apprendimento della musica attraverso uno strumento musicale. Tre sono i principi fondamentali per un successo assicurato:

1. YAMAHA Class band segue il modello di una vera e propria orchestra di strumenti a fiato, dove sono presenti tutti gli strumenti: flauto, clarinetto, saxofono, tromba, trombone, corno e percussioni. Dalla prima lezione, i giovani musicisti formeranno la propria orchestra, in cui ogni studente avrà la possibilità di scegliere uno strumento.

2. Grazie ad un elevato sviluppo del metodo, i bambini impareranno a suonare uno stru-mento e a stare insieme al gruppo fin dall’inizio dove partiranno da un livello di cono-scenza musicale chiamato punto “zero”. Questo tipo d’apprendimento è molto più stimolante e motivante di qualsiasi altro e dimezza i tempi d’apprendimento.

3. Dopo aver superato lo “scoglio” delle prime 5 note, tutti gli studenti saranno in grado di dare piccoli concerti pubblici con l’intera orchestra - un “stimolo” per imparare a stare e suonare insieme e solo dopo il primo anno di studi saranno pronti a esibirsi nei Festival Yamaha.

Mescolando questi tre principi fondamentali s’impareranno nuove metodologie di studio. YAMAHA Class Band ad oggi è il metodo di educazione musicale più innovativo per imparare a suonare uno strumento a fiato.In 12 paesi europei, questo metodo ha attivato circa 3.000 nuove Bande, di cui 1.500 nelle scuole pubbliche e ogni giorno nasce una nuova Yamaha Class Band.

YAMAHA Class Band - mein Weg zur MusikDas System YAMAHA BläserKlasse erfüllt den Wunsch vieler Kinder nach dem Erlernen und Spielen eines “richtigen” Musikinstrumentes mit einer kongenialen Methode. Dies ist eine moderne, ebenso motivierende wie effektive Art des Zugangs zur Musik und zum Musizieren, in dem die Kinder ein Instrument im “normalen” Musikunterricht der allgemeinbildenden Schule lernen und spielen. Und zwar von Anfang an in einer großen und lebendigen Lerngruppe. Die folgenden drei Basispfeiler führen zu einem frühen Erfolg:

1. Eine YAMAHA BläserKlasse folgt dem Vorbild eines “Symphonischen Blasorchesters” mit den üblichen Holz- und Blechblasinstrumenten wie Querflöte, Klarinette, Saxophon, Trompete, Horn, Posaune, Euphonium, Tuba und Schlagzeug. Von der allerersten Unterrichtsstunde an, bilden die Schüler Orchester, in dem jeder sein selbstgewähltes Orchesterblasinstrument systematisch erlernt.

2. Dank der differenzierten und weit entwickelten Methode, starten alle jungen Musiker bei Punkt “Null” ihres Wissens und Könnens auf einem Instrument. In der BläserKlasse lernen die Schüler vom Start weg gemeinsam in einer Schulklasse oder einer größeren Gruppe in Form des Orchesters ihr Instrument. Gerade das gemeinsame Lernen und Musizieren in der ganzen Schulklasse ist einer der größte Motivationsfaktoren für die Lernenden.

3. Nachdem der erste 5-Tonraum gemeistert ist, sind die BläserKlassen bereits in der Lage, kurze öffentliche Konzerte zu geben. Die dort erfahrene Anerkennung und Wertschätzung eines jeden Einzelnen im Orchester ist ein Meilenstein für das Erlernen von gutem sozialen Verhalten und Fähigkeiten.
