THE STUDENT LOUNGECoastal Law is pleased to provide students with a relaxing lounge. You are encouraged to use it to relax, study, or socialize, and are also welcome to store and prepare your lunch there.
THE CAREER SERVICES DEPARTMENT SUITE 180The CSD is Coastal Law’s comprehensive career counseling and resource center. This department is committed to providing students and alumni with the support necessary to pursue the careers of their choice. Among its services, the CSD provides individual career counseling, presents career and professional development programming, maintains an online career center with job listings, and conducts business development in the legal community to find potential jobs for our students and alumni.
FINANCIAL AID Suite 170The Financial Aid Office of Florida Coastal School of Law is dedicated to working with students who wish to attend law school and need financial assistance to do so. We will provide you with step by step instructions on how to apply and receive federal loans and Federal Work study.

THE COASTAL BOOK STOREThe Coastal Bookstore is the place for textbooks, gear and supplies. Buy or sell used and new textbooks, find Florida Coastal School of Law gear, and purchase software and gifts, either online or in person.
OUTTAKESLocated near the atrium, Outtakes is where students can purchase salads, sandwiches and wraps made fresh daily as well as pre-packaged snacks, premium coffee, and sundries.
THE GYMHaving an on-campus fitness center allows students to balance the workout of their minds with a workout of their bodies. Membership is free.

R LEGAL CLINICSSuite 255Take advantage of the numerous opportunities available at Coastal Law to gain practical legal experience – a big plus on any students’ resume. Students can participate in externships with public agencies and not-for-profit corporations, in judicial internships, or in one of our five in-house clinics.
Under the supervision from full-time faculty members, student clinicians represent indigent clients who are referred from various agencies across Jacksonville.

THE LIBRARY AND TECHNOLOGY CENTERWith almost a quarter million volumes, Florida Coastal School of Law’s Library & Technology Center is the key resource for students, faculty, and the legal community. The more than 47,000 sq. ft. LTC also houses the majority of study rooms and research resources for students, a 48-seat computer lab, as well as a separate computer training lab.

THE CENTER FOR MULTICULTURAL AFFAIRSSuite 366Multicultural Affairs addresses the needs and concerns of students in nationality, ethnic, language, gender, and sexual orientation groups in our community. The functions include representation these students’ perspectives to the Coastal Law Community and providing independent resources and references to other departments when needed.
THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTRARSuite 367The Registrar and her staff run one of the most helpful offices on campus. The Registrar’s office handles student records, registration, scheduling classes, maintaining class lists, graduation certifications, diplomas, and honors recognition. The office is also responsible for
enforcing the policies and procedures as outlined in the student handbook.

OORTRIAL AND APPELLATE COURTROOMS
Rooms 400 and 450Beyond being simply among the most sophisticated courtrooms in the country, our trial and appellate “classrooms” are equipped for all types of legal proceedings and are hosts for educational use and official use of its courtrooms by the local court system and the First District Court of Appeal. With some of the most sophisticated courtroom technology of any law school in the country, students can fully experience and learn from these hands-on “classrooms”.

Coastal Law’s moot court program is currently ranked
among the national top 10, having made impressive
showings at statewide, national and international
competitions. Our mock trial teams enjoy similar
successes, advancing to the finals or winning some
of the country’s most prestigious regional and
national competitions.

From individual counseling sessions to essay review
meetings to stress management workshops, Coastal
Law’s Bar Coaching program plays a vital role for
graduates preparing for the bar exam in Florida, as well
as bar exams across the country. In addition to national
successes, our alumni taking the Florida Bar are, in
particular, known for their superior performance on
the essay portion of the exam - scoring as high as
14 points higher than that of the statewide average.

R ACADEMIC SUCCESS & BAR PREPSuite 590The Academic Success Department provides students with the guidance, support, and resources necessary to thrive in law school. All licensed attorneys in good standing with the Florida Bar, the Academic Success Counselors are available to meet with students individually to implement study skills, review academic performance, discuss course selection, and provide feedback on practice essays and multiple choice questions. Students are encouraged to schedule appointments, but Counselors are also available on a walk-in basis.
In addition to helping students succeed in law school, Academic Success is home to one of the most proficient and successful bar coaching programs in the country. Third-year students preparing for the bar exam have access to:
