Flow Control ValvesMICRO-RATIO® Valve assemblies are used
for air, gas and oil proportioning control. The multiplescrew cam assembly provides mechanical adjustmentcapabilities to the air/fuel ratio at each valve positionthroughout the entire capacity range of your burnersystem.
Throttling range is fully adjustable and designed tooperate over the extremely wide turndown capabilitiesof Maxon’s modern burner systems.
Stand-by fuel requirements are simplified byusing tandem-linked “air-gas-oil” valves to providesingle point control for multiple fuel or multiple zonesystems (see photo below).

SYNCHRO Valves (below) may be usedindependently for individual adjustable gradient fuelflow control, or in tandem with other fuel controlvalves for more sophisticated multi-zone controlapplications. Totally enclosed cam option is availablefor greater protection against hostile environments.
Smaller sizes of SYNCHRO Valves usecharacterized “V” ports in a poppet disc for greatestrefinement of control. Larger sizes feature a butterfly-type disc for maximum capacity with minimumpressure drop for gas or air flows.

Flow Control ValvesSeries “Q” Gas Control Valves provide the high
capacity and low pressure drop benefits of a butterflyvalve construction, plus an adjustable gradient featurefor accurate fuel flow control.
They are used independently for throttling of fuelgases and with PREMIX® Blower Mixers andAIRFLO® Mixers for stand-by fuel systems, wherethey allow change-over to alternate fuels without re-adjustment.
Series “Q” Valves are UL (UnderwritersLaboratories) listed for use with air, natural gas andliquefied petroleum gases.
3" Series “Q” Valve
Series “CV” Control Valves incorporate a full-flow, fixed gradient butterfly valve design for highcapacities at low pressure drops, using minimumoperating torque.
This economical assembly includes a minimumstop screw and can be supplied with connecting baseand linkage assembly to mount your electric controloperator.
Versions available with UL (UnderwritersLaboratories) listing for air, natural gas and liquefiedpetroleum gas service.
Series “BV” Balancing Valves are used tobalance gas or air flows in multiple-burner systemsfed by a common manifold. They feature a full-flowbutterfly design with provision for locking in anyposition.
Air Control Valves permit throttling control of air toburners. They feature a fixed gradient butterfly valvedesign with an adjustable minimum stop, frictionbrake screw and provision for manual or automaticoperation. Air control valves are offered in 1-1/2"through 18" pipe sizes.
A complete system using Maxon Flow ControlValves will typically include burner, gas and/or oil pipetrains, mixing equipment, pressure blower and acontrol panel. Your Maxon representative can helpyou choose from the broad range available.
