LiteracyI wonder if today you could use a squirt bottle or a water gun outside to make marks? You could use a recycled bottle that had cleaning products in – make sure you wash it out thoughly.

You could try making these marks on the ground…

Maths

Today Charlie the firefighter wants you to measure these ladders to see which ones are tallest and which ones are shortest. You can use lego to maesure and then count the lego to compare. (Like when we measure ourselves in week 4). If you do not have a printer – get your grown up to draw some ladders for you to measure.

Understanding of the world Yesterday we learnt all about what firefighters do. Today I wonder if your grown up can help you to label the firefighter’s clothing? You will need to use your twinkl account that you set up a few weeks ago. If you didn’t manage to do this, please follow the advice on the schools website to gain a free twinkl account. The link is https://www.twinkl.co.uk/go/resource/tg-t-75-people-who-help-us-fire-fighters-labelling-activity

Have fun Name practise – please also use this time to practise name writing with your child every day. You could follow some of the advice on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swwxOB4MS-YPlease do not get your child to write their full name in capitals only a capital at the beginning the rest lower case. This week let’s see if we can use our peg names from a few weeks ago to make our names.

Help feed the chicks

Help the chicken feed the hungry chicks. Collect the worms and hop between the clouds to reach the nest. Be as fast as you can by collecting the correct number of worms before you go.

Simply touch a worm to pick it up and touch a cloud to fly to it. On a desktop computer, the arrow keys will also move the chicken and pressing the space bar will pick up a nearby worm.
