The Fulbright NEXUS Program e Fulbright NEXUS Program brings together a network of junior scholars, professionals and mid-career applied researchers from States in the Western Hemisphere for a series of three seminar meetings and a Fulbright residential exchange experience. Up to 15 Fulbright NEXUS Scholars will conduct individual and team-based research projects designed to generate knowledge-based, policy- oriented solutions with practical implementation potential at the local, national, or regional levels. e Program will be hosted in Canada and Columbia and will focus on the three inter-connected themes: 1) Science, Technology, and Innovation, 2) Entrepreneurship, & 3) Sustainable Energy. The Fulbright Specialist Program e goal of the Fulbright Senior Specialists Program is to promote exchanges that go beyond the traditional Fulbright activities of lecturing and research. is program is designed to provide American academics and experienced professionals with opportunities to collaborate on curriculum and faculty development, institutional planning, and a variety of other activities at Canadian institutions. General Eligibility Requirements

American Citizenship.

Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent professional/terminal degree by December 31 in the year in which you are applying, or have equivalent professional experience.

Proficiency in English and/or French language ability commensurate with the requirements of the project and host institution.

Lifetime maximum of 2 Fulbright Scholar awards. Minimum 5 years between awards.

Faculty sabbatical, leave-of-absence, or retirement pay may be used concurrently with Fulbright support.

Selection is open and competitive, based on a combination of the proposed program of research, academic and professional background, personal statement, letters of reference, and adherence to the aims of the Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program.
