L&T’s  ISO  and  OHSAS  certified  fabrication  facilities at Puducherry and Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu are capable of handling customized structures for airport projects. L&T’s has specialised facilities for timber and aluminium formwork, metal shops, steel service centres and engineering workshops. All the workshops of L&T are equipped with heavy duty facilities to take up intricate fabrication works for various requirements such as towers, plant structures, steel bridges, space and spatial frames, roof trusses etc. At India’s modern gateway in Delhi and Bengaluru, L&T erected the complex and heavy roof trusses using innovative erection techniques.

L&T has pioneered precast technology in the construction sector and offers complete precast solutions covering design, detailing, production and  erection  schemes.    For  the  airport  sector,  L&T has benchmarked several of these innovations. At Bengaluru International Airport, L&T executed the unique ‘S’ shaped precast concrete roof element in the passenger terminal building using special techniques of fabrication and erection. Concrete elements such as roofs, compound walls, drain channels, decks etc. are prefabricated in state-of-the-art casting yards.

L&T’s precast strengths include:

•  In-house Engineering

•   Dedicated precast factory at Khopoli near Mumbai
