This letter is to acknowledge receipt of a satisfactorily
completed site profile pertaining to the above-referenced site. For
the pwpose of the subject demolition permit application, the
ministl')' does not presently intend to require, or order pursuant
to section 26.2 of the Waste Management Act. a site investigation
as long as the demolition does not involve any disrurbance or
excavation of soil other than that which is incidental to the
demolition. The ministry gener-ally recoDllDCnds that a survey of
building materials and equipment be undertaken in advance of
demolition to identify any materials that will require special
management.
Upon completion of demolition, the ministry requires that you
submit for our review a detaile.d site investigation report. Please
be ad\lised that investigations and remediation shall continue
until you have applied for, and obtained, one of the following
Wasre Managemenr Acr instruments, as applicable: an approval in
principle of a remediation pl.an or a certificate confirming the
satisfactory remediation of the site.
Please also be advised of the following:
• detailed site investigations are define.d under section 59 of
the Contaminated Sites Regulation. Please note that fees are
applicable for the ministry's contaminated sites se.IVices,
pursuant to section 9 of the Contaminated Sites Regulation. A
