Teaching children to be more aware of the food on their plate lays the foundation for them to under- stand how their choices as food consumers create effects that go beyond the dinner table. FOOD-AWARE covers topics, such as local food production, food waste, food chains, sustainability and resource efficiency. The interactive and engaging teaching materials, such as comics and posters, will encour- age students’ interest in various food-related subjects.
